Warning: I got some ammo from Erik McGuire at Ammunition Planet called Oak Island Ammo and went shooting with my buddy and after a while a round went off and the case just blew apart and cut my finger. It didn't need stitches but sure scared the hell out of me. I was shooting it out of my Glock 17. I'm glad i had Glasses on because a tiny piece of the case hit my cheek. I checked out my Gun the next day and it looks ok but i'm afraid to shoot any more of this ammo. I talked to Erik McGuire and he basically told me all sales are final and that they do not accept returns.. I'm really upset about this because I have no recourse and i'm out $ 225.00. I dont want to sell it on Gunbroker because I dont want anybody else to get injured.. Anyway, live and learn. I hope by posting this it will save someone else from going through what I went through.
Ammunition Planet - Erik McGuire sells Ammo that is Dangerous and has No Quality Control. I got 2 Squib rounds. After the first I figured it was a Fluke and then around 100 rounds later I got another one and was Very Lucky I stopped and didn't rack the slide and fire off another round or I might be missing a couple Fingers.. I threw all his Ammo back in my bag and shot some factory ammo the rest of the day. When I got home I sent an email explaining what happened and that I would like to ship the ammo back and I will pay the shipping but I want full credit for the Ammo. Erik McGuire basically told me sorry, No Way I can Refund you anything and just find a way to use it.. I could not believe what I was reading. I'm just posting this for people to beware of these kind of companies. You have to be careful because you not only will lose your hard earned money but you could seriously get injured and lose some Fingers with Ammo that isnt done by Qualified Professionals.. He also uses different Names to sell his Ammo but the main 3 are Ammunition Planet, Red Dog Ammo & Oak Island Ammo.. His name is: Erik McGuire.
