My Story: ASAP sold me a fraudulent aftermarket warranties under the false notion that it was a Bumper To Bumper Warranty! I was sold an aftermarket Auto Warranty under false pretenses. When searching for an auto warranty on Google, you'll find paid advertising for ASAP Auto Warranty on the 1st page. You'll also find a few select product review sites (namely www.consumeraffairs.com) that praise the service as top tier. When you call and ask for a "bumper to bumper warranty" the sales reps will say that's what you're getting. When you mention certain items that a bumper to bumper warranty covers the sales reps will assure without a doubt that's what you're getting. I drive a 2010 Audi Q5. This model is known for having a reliable engine and transmission.

So I only asked the sales rep about the electronics in my car such as the panoramic sun roof and sunshade, the windows and the radio. I didnt even ask about the engine and transmission, water pump and other various engine components because there are no bumper to bumper warranties that don't cover those kinds of items by default. Then they pressure you into quickly buying the alleged bumper to bumper warranty with a special, sale or discount of some sort that will expire if you don't purchase right away or within a number of hours. I felt as though I was getting a deal because they allowed me to make payments. 8 months later something fell in my sunshade while open and tore it off the tracks.

I went to go get the sun shade on my car replaced and was told that's not covered when I SPECIFICALLY asked about the sunroof and sun shade prior to buying this fraudulent warranty. That’s when I found out when you actually sign up you realize they don't even offer a bumper to bumper warranty. If you call and complain ($2400 later I might add) their excuse is "You signed the contract. You had 30 days to cancel it." So of course when I tell them what the sales rep offered over the phone they say it's impossible. And of course when they say "We'll try to pull up the conversation" they're not going to actually do it because it would cost them money.

Now I don't know what business model they use. But at MY job we don't talk with customers for over 30 mins telling them the wonderful services they'll get only to hand them a contract that doesn't include ANY of what we talked about. And if I'm not mistaken, my job training informs me that if you advertise a particular product and then offer them something else at point of sale that's what's known as "Bait and Switch" which is illegal. I can't do that at my job. I have since found other reviews of customers who were also fraudulently sold "bumper to bumper" warranties. I will be gathering information to do a class action lawsuit shortly. UPDATE: COLLECTING A LIST OF OTHER VICTIMS. ENOUGH VICTIMS CAN WIN THE CASE.

When searching for an auto warranty on Google, you'll find paid advertising for ASAP Auto Warranty on the 1st page. This is a complete fraud and calls for a class action lawsuit. I was sold a contract using high pressure sales tactis by George & Jessie Mills.These people are cons. I am at a loss of $1500.00 & the company no longer exists. A call to their number says they are no longer managing current and new clients and asking for us to contact our financial institution. This is outright illegal and these people be sent to jail!

I have been legitimately trying to cancekanjx e January 12. They received my notarized odometer statement january 19 and said it would be 5 days to receive the pro-rated cancellation fee. Since then I have called daily and I get their answering service. They do not return calls and they owe me $1092. Complete fraud and illegal.

I purchased an auto warranty to cover my car. In late December, I brought the car to a BMW Dealership to make sure the car had no issues. The care was good and fully serviced by the prior owner under all the warranty. I brought the car back the day before the original maintenance warranty expired. BMW found an oil leak and the warranty company approved it. The company did not approve the hourly rate of BMW so they told me to find a cheaper location or pay the difference. I found a cheaper location and BMW told me that I was able to drive it to the new location but to make sure I do so sooner than later. The oil leak was due to a gasket and was drivable. I drove the car to the new auto mechanic shop location. I called the warranty company, and they said it was approved but to have the new company verify the issue to get a second set of eyes. The new location stated that there is an oil leak and there can be turbo issues since the car was parked for a few days and white smoke came out the tailpipe for a few minutes. I asked why BMW didn't find that and they mentioned that most of the times the car must be parked for a couple of days to see white smoke come out the tailpipe. And if I drove the car to BMW, usually with 24 hours they start the car to inspect so it will not show. But since the car was parked for four days before the new location starting it up again to inspect, they saw white smoke come out of the tailpipe for 15 seconds which normally means the turbo is bad or is going bad. They call the warranty company to file a claim and get approval and after 2 weeks they came back and denied all the claim because i drove the car from BMW to the new location which BMW said it was ok to do.

I purchased a bumper to bumper warranty over a year ago, now my car is in shop - they have delayed service now they want my insurance, registration & maintenance records!! Excuse me?? Why?? What are you trying to pull $1,000 spent on a rental car so far?? I travel for work and the registration is with the vehicle an Hour away!!

In Nov 2016, I purchased an ASAP Total Protection plan for a 2010 Audi S5 that I had also just purchased in November 2016. The sales rep used very strong sales tactics to get me to purchase the ASAP plan and quickly accepted my payment in full for the plan. Then, in May 2017 I had need to use the ASAP plan. I properly followed the ASAP instructions and opened a claim; which by the way took 3 phone calls to the ASAP customer service department to get accomplished. I was told to take the vehicle to my Audi dealer and provide the dealer service team with the claim number and ASAP contact number; which I did. My dealer also followed instructions and even jumped through a few hoops to abide to the ASAP requirements; which even resulted in my dealership allowing an ASAP "inspector" to check the vehicle to confirm that "it had been properly maintained"

To keep this less lengthy, the claim was ultimately declined stating that the dealer had removed the defective part for insepction. However, the dealer did exactly as instructed by the ASAP claims adjuster and the only way to confirm the part was bad, WAS to remove it from the vehicle.

Upon denial of the claim, I began doing a little more in-depth research on ASAP and found that declining claims and being difficult to deal with is part of the ASAP SOP. Upon denial, I also immediately requested cancellation of the contract per the ASAP contract terms and conditions. After jumpingthrough a couple of additional hoops to provide a notirized odometer reading form, ASAP accepted the cancellation and provided me with notification that the refund would be issued within 14 business days. After 20 business days, I contacted ASAP customer service and was told that my refund should have already been issued and I would have it in a couple of days. I had to then continually follow up with phone calls and emails to ASAP customer service to continually be told that my refund would be issued "soon" After 45 days and finally stating that I was perusing legal action, AND contacting the Delaware Attorney General Office, Consumer Protection Unit (http://attorneygeneral.delaware.gov/fraud/cpu/); I finally received my refund.

I purchased my warranty from ASAP approximately 2 months ago. After 1200 miles my window regulator broke. Shortly after my starter gave out. I started the claim and it was a complete nightmare from the very beginning. I was told that I had a valid claim because I had met the mileage and time constraints and that they were take care of me. I had my car delivered to the shop where it sat for 10 days waiting for an inspection. Every time I called I was promised a return call and it was being taken care of. When I purchased the warrantee car had 48,800 miles on it when I filed a claim the car had 50,200 miles on I was told by the representative that my mileage constraint was not met(which were 1000 miles). just want to save anyone else from this nightmare is said to wait for me save yourself.

I have had nothing but trouble since working with them. I have called 21 times, contacted the BBB, wrote a letter (that was sent back as a non-business) form the USPS, emailed and now disputed the charge on my credit card. I am not sure what is going on but I stopped my service within a day of signing up and now it has been almost 45 days and no credit has been issued. I am told each time that someone will call me back and no one does. I was told to call at 9:00am and now I am told to call back in an hour for the billing department. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ASAP.

I own a 2009 BMW 650 with now 67,863 miles on the car. When I purchased an extended warranty from ASAP I estimated and told the Customer service rep that I was estimating that the car had 64,000 miles on it. The customer service representative accepted my numbers and told me everything was in order. That I simply needed to wait 30 days before a claim could be made.

About 6 weeks later I noticed a problem with my car. I had waited the required 30 days so I took the car to an auto dealership to have the car diagnosed. The Auto shop forward the information to ASAP. I called the company to make a claim. They asked for the cars complete service records. Later they asked for the buyers' contract, title and the cars registration. I asked was this a normal procedure. I was told no but they had the right to ask for the documents per the contract agreement.

So I sent the information. The next day they informed me that they would not honor the service contract because the miles I gave them were 800 miles different from the actual millage on the car when I bought the service contract. She continued by saying they were canceling the contract and would refund my money paid per the contracted agreement.

When I explained to the Service rep that I had given estimate mileage and that I had shared with the initial customer service rep that I was giving them and estimate the rep did not share I needed the exact mileage. In fact he said it was not a problem. When I tried to contact the District office I was told the supervisors would not speak to me because I shared I would seek a legal remedy if the contract was not fulfilled. I was told have my attorney contact their attorney.

This company looks for any item in your contract to be able to cancel the agreement if they feel your car will be costly to repair.

Claim denied for mileage at start while contract states 30 days from purchase as the start date. After being told by the sales agent that the start date was 30 days (and that the mileage limit for start was not an issue since the contract CLEARLY states 'whichever is first') my claim was denied due to the contract not being in effect for mileage despite being after the contract start date. The salesperson either told me lies to desperately sell the policy, or told me things that the claims people are then not honoring despite being in the contract and sale terms. False claims about BBB rating being A when it's really rated as a B in my state. False advertising as the policy being transferable, but being mentioned otherwise in the contract, and yet being mentioned as 'can be worked on' with customer service. This reeks of shady business, not a professional policy bound company.

One of the worst companies I have dealt with.

They're referring me to the declarations first page of the contract which has an error. They accept its an error, and still keep referring me to that page. The same contract's 4th page has the terms spelled out. That is the CONTRACT, but they choose to read the first page, and say that they don't think the 4th page with the statements matter. Instead the first page with numbers in a box is what determines the start date. This is truly worth an attorney's gold mine.

I purchased an auto warranty through a dealership when I purchased my Chevy Traverse used. I later learned the warranty was the worst warranty the dealership offered so I shopped around. I decided to go with ASAP and purchased the top warranty they offer. I asked specific questions about what the warranty would cover as I am skeptical about sales, having worked for a dealership in the past. While reading through the contract, I asked about many specific items being covered and was promised the items I asked about would be covered.

Three days ago, my wife called from the side of the road with the car broken down on the side of the road. My auto insurance company towed the car to a Chevy dealership, as ASAP refused to (they reimburse your out of pocket cost IF they decide to warranty the break down, which is understandable).

After two days, the ASAP finally got back to the dealership and said they would only cover $407 out of $4,100 in repairs. They said they would not cover items which they promised they would. I got stern, yet polite with the representative who was handling the claim. He said the sales guy I bought from was no longer employed with them, so they don't have to honor anything he promised (despite him representing the company).

Since I had not yet sold the warranty back that I purchased with the car, I asked the service department at Chevrolet to call them as well. They quickly authorized everything except one repair, which was an electronic component that was not covered (I am understanding of this).

So how is the cheapest warranty offered by a dealership better than ASAP's premium warranty? In short, ASAP will promise you the world to sell you a product, but will refuse to honor their legally binding contract when you need it the most.

You owe it to yourself to shop around. I would recommend talking to the service department at a dealership of the same make as your car. They can let you know which companies are better and which ones will cover needed repairs.

I bought a 2006 BMW 750Li in 2015, and shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I purchased an extended warranty for it via ASAP (American Standard Auto Protection). In September, the car went to BMW with the previous owner, and received a clean bill of health -- which included no mechanical faults -- (prior to the sale to me). It ALSO passed a smog test (with no mechanical faults) on 12/01/15. In January, the car experienced a mechanical breakdown, and was brought to Steven’s Creek BMW for repair. The dealership estimated the repairs and sent this information to the warranty company. After almost a week, the warranty company hadn't replied to the dealer, but they had requested all of my maintenance records, which I happily provided, considering that they show the car was in good health when I purchased the warranty.

Because the warranty company refused to respond to BMW, my loaner vehicle was taken away, and I was asked to pay almost $1,000 in diagnostic fees.

When I signed the contract with the warranty company, on 11/12/15, the car had 114,200 miles. That day, I went up to Napa, and put about 150 miles on the car. On the way back, I got a flat, and had a tire replaced. Because my miles were 114,347 on the invoice from the car company, ASAP is now claiming mileage fraud, and have canceled my contract, and refused to honor the warranty. I obviously informed them that I drive the car, and that 147 miles in a day is a reasonable distance to travel. They’re clearly acting in bad faith and trying to avoid honoring their commitments.

Incidentally, they also committed to calling me back right after the breakdown to get a tow going, but they didn’t touch base until the next day — leaving me (a disabled person) on the side of the road all night, and without my medication.
