My company has been using American Shipping, shipamerican.com, American Shipping Co. Inc, https://www.shipamerican.com/ for the past 6 years, initially spending in excess of $100K per year, however due to a fall in service levels from them we used them much less.
One issue was American Shipping, American Shipping Co. Inc, shipamerican.com, is they issue fake invoices and demand you pay them, this happened in October 2021, my company couldn’t match the invoice to any paperwork our end for $2655, however we did have a server migration and due to this we paid the invoice in November 2021 even though we had no relating paperwork for our inhouse orders just the American Shipping, American Shipping Co. Inc, shipamerican.com invoice. (Documents could have bene lost in the migration.)
In December 2021 American Shipping, American Shipping Co. Inc, shipamerican.com, contacted us asking what they had to allocate the $2655 against, as American Shipping, American Shipping Co. Inc, shipamerican.com could not find any outstanding invoices!
We informed them to refund it which they did not, they put it on account earning interest. This is American Shipping, shipamerican.com scam, earning interest on customers fake invoices. Having emailed Marc Greenberg and Mayrza Gonzales my company had no response, which I expect from a fraudulent company.
Unfortunately, we had already consigned a shipment from China to the USA and this was in the incompetent hands of American Shipping, American Shipping Co. Inc, shipamerican.com, during this time, which was delivered to an incorrect address in March 2022!
Now for their biggest scam/fraud! In May we receive an invoice for the shipment from China $9,839, that did not correspond with our paperwork or order. None of our company order numbers or reference numbers on the American Shipping, American Shipping Co. Inc, shipamerican.com paperwork, this is a clear indication 'to lose you' in THEIR paperwork trail!
Having our accounts department go through the invoices, matching them up with our paperwork took 4 working days and it transpired that from the total invoice value of $9,839 there was a charge of $192 that was not recognized.
After questioning this charge, we were informed by American Shipping, American Shipping Co. Inc, shipamerican.com that "This shipment did not become available at the airline until after 1PM on Friday 3/18, and we get less than 24 hours of free time. They (American Shipping, American Shipping Co. Inc, shipamerican.com) attempted to make the pickup but ran out of time.
The shipment was then picked up on Monday" However at no point did anyone inform my company of this or give my company the opportunity to use our own transport. It however shouldn’t have come as any surprise when the inbound shipment arrived as they did the collection!
On May 18th a payment was made by our accounts department for $9647 which was a full and final payment as we did not authorize the unlawful storage costs, putting the account as $0. Which Alexis Petrillo-Artis (accounts supervisor of American Shipping, American Shipping Co. Inc, shipamerican.com) accepted and acknowledged.
Fast forward to August 5th 2022, I receive a final demand email from credit/collection supervisor Mayrza Gonzales for the unlawful storage charges. Referring them to the email of May they said we had till August 12th to pay other the $192 otherwise it would go to collections. Which is a fabulous was to run a scam business!
We then emailed the President and COO Marc Greenberg in which we indicated the issue, the acceptance of the full and final payment sent in May and that we did not recognise the unauthorized storage charge. We did indicate that we would be making other potential customers away of their scams and fraudulent business practices and his response was: ‘If storage had occurred unless (us) participants in the supply chain industry have their heads in the sand these days everyone is aware of today’s supply chain market challenges. We as agents are not responsible for market conditions, lack of capacity or any other liability whatsoever. As for all the threats I have no comments there, heard then many times before. Its always a pleasure.’
Now 2 things to take from the President and COO of American Shipping Co Inc. 1) the sarcasm of the President of the American Shipping, American Shipping Co. Inc, shipamerican.com.
2) As Marc Greenberg says, he has heard the ‘threats’ many times before, so he condones the fraudulent and scam practices of the company and obviously has done this many times before and he is happy at running his business this way. (He should also reread his emails, before sending them…)
We paid the $192 to get rid of this deadbeat company, but there is a saying in the USA when you are scammed. ‘I hope you makes lots of money with your scam and spend it all on hospital bills.’
If the President and COO Marc Greenberg, acts like this, the company is damned from the top. Along with their credit/collection supervisor Mayrza Gonzales, issuing fraudulent and fake invoices is not acceptable and this bunch of scammers bombard you with many singular emails, to drown you in emails and false/fake information.
In conclusion as the owner of an international company that ships throughout the world, I have decided that I cannot tolerate the unprofessionalism and fraudulent, fake, scam practices American Shipping, American Shipping Co. Inc, shipamerican.com use and thought it only right in sharing my companies limited experience with this bunch of thieves, scammers and frauds.
Avoid American Shipping, American Shipping Co. Inc, shipamerican.com as there are scammers, frauds and thieves. There are much better and reputable shipping agents. No wonder they have been in business since 1899 scamming customers! AVOID especially President and COO Marc Greenberg and credit/collection supervisor Mayrza Gonzales these are the biggest scammers of all within the company.
