On May 1, I purchased the online Florida 2-15 Insurance License Course through American Safety Council for $140. Registered for online course, but could not proceed without required coursebook - which is to be mailed to home address. 10 days go by, I reach out and they tell me it was mailed from Orlando on May 2.
I am in Jacksonville, so I should have received in 3-5 days at most. They say allow ten business days to receive. They do not offer tracking information for shipment, nor do they offer digital version of coursebook. I reach out on May 16. I still have not received coursebook and am requesting a refund. They refuse to refund until I return the coursebook.
I cannot return something I never received in the first place, so it looks like I just lost $140 spent on a course I cannot even take. It's funny, I was just trying to invest in myself, build my resume, and broaden the possibilites for me and my children, as a single mom - those were my intentions when signing up for this course.
Now, I have lost $140 - nothing to show for it! Now - the amount of time I would have been spending on the course - well I'm spending that time getting the word out, so hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else!
I enrolled and paid for this Mature Driver Course. After completing the first half of the course it froze and kept telling me to complete the question before continuing. I had completed it three times! When I contacted the company to fix the problem I was only connected to a agent in the Phillipines who could not speak English well enough to understand the problem and coud only read back canned answers from a guide they clearly could't understand. I sent a message through the contact information and they didn't call or answer. The American Safety Councuil is a (Phillipino?) rip off. They couldn't display their incompetance any more clearly than when they spell Orlando Florida as Orlanda. OrlandA!
They sale bad material. When you try to return, they encourage you to take the test or other versions of the material so that they produce ground excuses to not return your moneys, so don't fall for this trap!!!
This is a very corrupt company, at least at supervisor levels. Their materials have many issues valid for anybody to lawfully and legitimately ask for a refund, but they just hang-up on you and don't care; they transact through a third party company to make it more difficult, and have many domain names, web redirects and phone numbers to mask their abusive practices. Their supervisors are very rude and without real knowledge of their own products: they all try to avoid your valid questions at complaint, talk over you at a higher voice level to intimidate you and try their best to totally deviate the conversation, which is a common practice of fraudulent people.
Very dishonest business practice overall. You will loose your money. They are also listed with many issues on BBB. Stay away from them. Try other companies.
Says fast and easy but is not fast or easy. You may read each of their 380 slides in 10 seconds, but they make you stare at it for a minute before you can go on to the next one. I couldn't take it. I hated it so much that my 30 day limit expired, which is my fault, and their customer service offered me one extra day. This was before a Jewish holiday when I can't work on it, and after mentioning this and requesting extra time, the customer service representative (Loquita ID 316) came back and told me she can't even give me the one day. Not sure if being Jewish was the cause, but, in short, they make it very difficult to finish and then try to squeeze a second payment out of you to try again! Stay away!
