I sent in a coupon for a Donald Trump coin inclosing a check for the amount requested ($4.95) on August 2, 2016. I later received two coins and a cheap wristwatch. I then received a bill for $59.95. I called them but got nowhere. I asked for a postage paid lable which they sent. I sent back the non-requested items, but I am still being billed. Now they have tacked on a late fee of $14.00 and have threatened to send my account to collections. Dan

American Mint American Mint says they have now sent out 6 collection attempts for an amount due of $97.45 they say I owe. There has been two notices of collection including one that I just received dated 06/06/18. I have answered previous inquiries that they have sent billing me for unwanted coins already returned.

There was one coin that was never shipped IAW USPS who said that there was no such tracking number for a 1933 Gold Double Eagle Proof claimed to have been sent. Other than that a Gettysburg Address Coin Set and a Fort Sumpter Coin Set shown in their collection letter was returned unuopened.

They even issued a credit of $79.95 on my VISA Card Credit Statement. They are adding a 17.50 late charge on their collection letter.to make a total of $97.45 attempted collection. On two ocassions I sent a signed "lost statement" regarding the 1933 Double Eagle Proof coin. I have properly complied with every request that they have asked.

They never know what one department is doing vs. another department . I have US Postal receipts to prove that I shipped unwanted coins back. They owe me $10.00 per hour for all my trouble in replying to their collection attempts and I want $30.00 for my trouble making phone calls trying to straighten out their poor record-keeping. If they try to tarnish my 800+ FICA credit score rating, I will sue them in court for $3000 in punitive damages. Mechanicsburg Pennsylvania

I received an envelope in the mail for a scratch-off, match & win for a 1933 Gold Double Eagle Platinum-Accented Replica Archival Edition coin, which would sell for $89.95. In the The advertisement they tell you for a short time they are authorized to release a limited number of these coins at a special price for this exclusive Scratch and-Match offer. So when I scratch off the ticket and matched the 3 $$$, It told me: Match any 3 symbols and get your coin - an $89.95 value - for free! just send a payment of $6.95 for shipping and handling. So I did and a couple of weeks later, I received my packet in the mail, opened it and found the coin I won plus a 1861 Paquet Double Eagle coin that I didn't order. Looking over the Invoice: the 1933 Gold Dbl. Eagle Replica was free.

The 2" Vial of gold flakes were free but the 1861 Paquet Dbl. Eagle. I was billed for $89.95 which I did not order! I continually receive bills and threats from them and all they have to do is send a return envelope and they can have the coin I didn’t order.

They can keep sending bills, because I am just waiting to join the next class action suit against them. I didn’t order it, I’m not paying for it and if they want it back send a return envelope. Bottom Line....Beware of the American Mint Scam; Your Winnibg Ticket: Inside Is Your Opportunity To Scratch, Match and Win! What Will Your Savings Be? What savings! They will attempt to stiff you for a coin you didn't order, that they didn't advertise along with the Scratch-off and Match ticket. If you see anything in the mail from the safe money is to trash it!

I am a retired citizen who is leading a frugal life & surviving on SSI & working inspite of being 76 years old with

serious health problems. In 2015, I was inundated by mailing from American Mint making a lot of offers on their

replica products of old US coins etc. As I have no interest what so ever in these itms,I just used to throw away

their mail.

Much to my badluck, one day my daughter was visiting us along with her kids.I was sitting with them & enjoying

their company. From my main entrance door's side glass I can watch the traffic in the subdivision & my LETTER BOX

too which is on the other side of the road.As usual Post Lady brought the day's mail & placed in the letter box belonging to me.I went out &.picked up my mail & placed it on the sofa in the living room.It had a letter from

American Mint too. My grand son is extremely intelligent young boy who is a voracious reader as well.He was

sitting next to me while I was shuffing the in coming mail.I just looked at the envelop from American Mint &

with out opening placed it back .It had picture of a new coin (replica) visible through the address window.Being

curious as always is he sought my permission to look into the contents of the envelop. As I used to ignore always

American Mint's mail ,I permitted him. For reasons unknown to me,he was attracted by the details of the old

coin's replica which the said company was launching. He told myself ,Grandpa I am going to order it for myself

as soon as I go back to home.Watching his enthusiasm,I told him to leave the letter for me & I will order the

afore mentioned as a gift to him. Being a very civilised character,he resisted but on my insistence finally

he agreed.

I never realized that I am asking for unending trouble by ordering the advertised replica coin on

American Mint.Order was placed providing my CC details to them. After a few days, item arrived &

for me it was the end of story. After 3-4days of coin's arrival,I received another letter from American

Mint advising me that another coin's replica has been mailed to me.It was a big surprise for me because

it is absolutely against the American way of doing business-unsolicited thrusting of goods on an individual.I was trapped in a cobweb of suspense. To stop them from this practice,I immediately contacted

them on their 1-800 # which is their Customer Service Dept's #.I had an encounter after almost after one hour waiting with an extremely rude representative of American Mint & was told that I have to accept

the unwanted product of American Mint & my CC has been already charged?

This was the biggest shock of my life.I called 1-800# next day again to warn them not to mail me

anything in future & asking the representative for Accounts Dept.# & President/V.President #s.I was

point blank told that call them on 1-800 # which is the only number shown on their LETTERHEAD &

envelops etc. This is always connected to the so called Customer Service Dept. I tried the local 700#

& that too is of the said department's #.

In a nutshell,it is a scam based business where customer/s are trapped like a fly in a cobweb!

My torment is continuing until this writing. After the second coin I had to change my CC & started returning unopened packets which they coninued mailing me.Last packet was sent back on 5/2/2017

& after begging the Post Office clerk,I have received a receipt confirming return of packet to AM.Receipt

is with me.

I started getting letters from American Mint, which I assume is the result of my continued returning of

packets to them.In the latest letter dated August 04,2017,I am being threatened of handing over my

case to Collection Agency? In every letter sent to me ,progressive interest is being added to the cost

of President Trump's memorabilia of inauguration which they are claiming I have received while I have

proof from Post Office of returning the packet (contents of which are only known to American Mint).

I AM SUBMITTING THIS REPORT IN THE HOPE THAT CONCERNED GOVT. AGENCIES WILL TAKE A NOTE

OF THE DARING & NEFARIOUS ACTIVITIES OF AMERICAN MINT.MY MENTAL PEACE HAS BEEN ABSOLUTELY

SHAKEN WITH THEIR UNSOLICITING WAY OF BUSINESS!

The American Mint llc offers special coins for the cost of "shipping" But if you send the money (I sent a check) they don't send the coins but send you a credit to buy more of their products. They have a phone number but all you get is a long list of special ads from their "partners". There seems to be no way you can get a real person to help you. Don't ever let these people get their hands on your credit card number!

On 08-24-16 I ordered a gold replica coin with a free vial of gold flakes. It was apparently delivered by a "special" USPS driver who did not put the box in my mail room as the box was too large for my apartment mail box. Nor did this person deliver it to the apartment manager's mail receiving storeroom, which is located on the other side of the apartment complex, very inconvenient. Instead, the delivery person dropped off the box labled from the American Mint on the second story floor just outside of my apt. entry door during a time when I was not home and there were contracted non-English-speaking workers painting all doors of my three-story apt. building. American Mint has been notified repeated of the non-delivery situation and all they do is send my monthly invoices with threats of "collection procedures by a third party" if I don't send them $89.95 plus late fees. This is a threat to my good credit and a ripoff.

I also fell for the Abraham Lincoln Coin for $4.95.

They mailed me a bill today 12/15/2016 for $9.90 along with a Bonus Credit for $45.

There is no mention of my payment I made 11/14/2016 my check #1272 which was processed.

I pretty much forgot about this..Surprised when I opened the letter..Called and put on hold for 6 minutes...

After reading all of the compliants about this company on the net after a simple Google search I was upset that I let myself fall for this...

I've had great purchases of coins via the net and mail in the past...But apparently this is a company I wish to have nothing to do with from today on..

They can keep my $4.95 and I will refused any shipment by them.

I want nothing to do with them.

I hope this helps...And if a class action suite ever happens let me in so I can get my money back.
