The origional purchase was for a gift. I purchased a collectable knife from the site for Christmas. Soon after I recieved a 2nd knife that I did not order. I reached out to the site to report the error with no response. The threatening letter came looking for payment with credit reporting comments so I just paid. I looked at my account on-line and found no record of this shipment and no indication that I was entered into an auto-ship sale agreement.
Two months later I recieved a 3rd knife. I once again reviewed my account which still contains no information of a "club" or auto ship commitment. This time, the site sends me a a curt email response telling me that I signed up to purchase a "collection" and telling me that I was obligated to pay or return the item.
I am questioning the legality of the vauge, fine print on the web site. They are force selling me an over priced product I did not want and cannot afford. The customer service was no helpful, telling me that I am obligated to pay or return without confirming that they will no longer ship me thier unwanted product. This makes the company feel like a scam that is driving sales by auto shipping product using a vauge and unclear ordering process.
I bought a Freedom Bowie Knife signed by President Trump from American Mint. American Mint sent a second Head Of State Diplomat Bowie Knife I could buy for $108.00. My wife sent the Head Of State Diplomat Bowie Knife back by USPS. Maybe someone at USPS got the knife; Now American Mint wants me to pay $119.33 late fees for the Head Of State Diplomat Bowie Knife I don't have. I got Ripped Off By American Mint.
I previously submitted a complaint through the Better Business Bureau about their refusal to STOP sending mailings and to settle the account and CLOSE it. The items I bought from them appeared to be 'Knock Offs' from China. After repeated emails and requests I utilized the B.B.B. to mediate.
American Mint is NOT a member of the Better Business Bureau. No surprise! After receiving a final bill, and a PROMISE in WRITING of no further mailings, I took quick action to pay it off. Today, in the mail, I receive (2) mailings from American Mint. DISREPECT in the maximum.
* Do Yourself a favor and write to your representatives if you had the same problem. These clowns should be behind bars for selling Red China junk as Made in America with FAKE certs of authencity.
