I had purchased a cpap machine from American home patient and everything was great and fine until the machine was on recall. I called American home patient and was instructed that I should call the manufacturer and that there was nothing that they could do for me. I explained to them that the manufacturer instructed that I immediately discontinue using the machine and that was a problem because I needed the cpap machine to breathe at night.
I asked American home patient if I could purchase a new Cpap machine which I would pay for since I just got the recalled machine from them within the past 6 months. American home patient decided that they would not sell me a cpap machine and refused to. Because I had a recalled cpap machine they refused to sell me a new one. They told me that I could not buy one from them all their cpap machines were for new insurance customers. I guess because I have a recalled cpap machine I could no longer buy a cpap machines from this company.
I was willing to pay full price for the machine but they refused to sell it to. How they can discriminate between who is allowed to purchase medical equipment from them and who is not. My money is just as good as anyone else's. Why has American Home Patient decided to no longer sell me this life saving medivial device which I need? What makes me different then everyone else who is allow to buy medicial devices from them.
I had American Home Health for 18 months and found I had been charged each month with supplies I have never received. I changed providers and went to the local office of American Home Patient to obtain the necessary paperwork, and to tell them where to fax my information, even gave the fax number to them.
After, several days of calling they finally sent my info to my new provider. That was June. In December I received a bill from American Home Health for supplies "delivered" in November. When I called them and asked about why I was getting a bill, and there were supplies on the bill that I have never needed with my machine, plus they were no longer my supplier, and I never received any supplies.
I have had two more bills delivered and today (January 16) I called and they said I was on auto-ship. "You are not my provider and I didn't receive any supplies." I was told that I had to come up with the supplies, and send them back in order for them to take it off my bill!!
I have been ordering cpap supplies and receiving oxygen therapy from american home patient for near 20 years or so. I noticed for approx. 2 years or so I have been receiving incorrect supplies along with incorrect billing from them. This started happening along the same time they were merging with Lincare company.
I have talked with Blue Cross Blue Shield about issues with them and they have not had any luck with contacting them either. Right now they owe me back for three months of oxygen concentrator charges for my 20% coinsurance they charged me that the insurance didn't pay on for time failure for filing.
The charge months were for September, October, and November 4th. of 2018. They also send out incorrect supplies and bill the insurance, but I have had no response from american home patient on return postage or directions to return them.
They are basically never answering a call from me or blue cross or returning a replay from a left message. In short this company seems to care little to nothing for me as a consumer or my personal health.
The most incompetent people I have ever dealt with. The worst customer service possible. In fact not customer service at all. Unbelievably stupid people.
Will lie to you, promise to fill my order yet after months later no supplies. However will bill your insurance within a few days of order.
Had to file a fraud complaint with insurance carrier to get benifits back.
If you value your time, health , sanity or money do not dibusiness with American Homepatient or its parent company Lincare.
These people - continue to call, continue to allege that I did not pay for a sleep apnea machine and heated tray, when I show them the receipt, they claim it was another purchase - cant show receipts, but keep calling. Received 10/30/17, paid in full 11/1/2017 - I have a receipt. Last time they threatened my credit. My response - an estoppel letter with only a receipt, but an email confirmation that they received from them 10 days later.
No matter how many times I’ve ask to be removed from their FOUR times a month robo calls, the calls countuine unrelented, telling me it is time to reorder my supplies. If I don't answer their calls the robo leave a voicemail telling me it is time to order my supplies again. So even though I've blocked their phone calls I still get a voicemail from them FOUR times a month. Also, this company is ruthless on pushing their supplies on people, if they need them or not! I'd be very careful before signing up with this company, unless of course you want them bothering the heck out of you on the phone FOUR times a month and end up buying more supplies than you need
They set you up with a CPAP machine and supplies. If you have trouble with the machine, don't look to them for help, as they will not provide it. However, you can be sure that they will conitnue to bill your insurance continuously. Nevermind the fact that the supplies are NEVER received!!!! Bad customer service! False and deceptive business practices. Stay far far away. No phone number to call and the website is ONLY for paying a bill!!!
