American Finance Lenders Reviews
This is pure bait and switch. The mailing clearly refers to making loans, but the program is a debt reduction program where they negotiate with your creditors to reduce your balances then you pay the money into an escrow account every month. You no longer have credit and your credit rating is ruined." General rule: If it looks to good to be true , it's not true. This is also the case with this company. It's a scam to get you to do their debt reduction program and be assured they would charge you for it. When I applied and told them I had looked them up on the internet and was only interested in a loan, they told me not to apply.
Imagine that American finance lenders will send you a letter offering an unsecured loan at a reasonable interest rate, but when you call to find out more about the loan, you will get the run-around. You will be required to give your social security number and agree to let them run a credit report, which they claim will be a "soft" hit on your credit. Then you will be told they have a great in-house program in which you pay so much money a month and your total payment will be reduced, which, of course, when you ask more about it, is nothing more than a system in which you pay a third party while your creditors go unpaid, then the third party negotiates down your overall bill. It shreds your credit. And the payments are higher than what you actually are currently paying. IF YOU REALLY WANT TO DO DEBT SETTLEMENT GO DIRECT TO YOUR FEE WILL BE LESS
