ACS has Great co-workers that are just all around good people. The management at ACS really care about its employees. I worked for other security companies before but found ACS is the beat when it comes to caring about its people.

American Corporate Securit (ACS) is based in Seattle, also it mentions a location in Renton, WA. Instead of an address, the president has been using the Worksource Office on 3rd Ave. to recruit and hire workers. Since the company is non-union, they pride themselves on offering a competitive salary but do not be fooled.
My experience with John Lolos who calls himself 'president' of ACS, was he seemed likeable so you wanted to give him a chance. I noticed he seemed anxious to help and swore he provided 'benefits', mostly he sought full-time workers for regular positions. This is what I interviewed and was even drug tested for the same day. At the time I had another job so I was scheduled for a training shift. I was offered a job, but it was in an 'out of town' location, I was without a car and he was not going to pay the overnight transportation costs so I could go to the site the night before (the shift was to start at 4:00am!) and be there to begin work. He could have set the shift to be more convenient.
The rate of pay was to be $14.00/hour with health and dental benefits but he would pay certain workers only $12.00/hour yet he would not send pay slips, opting for direct deposit instead. I was told he did not have any other positions but he felt free to call me to do shifts no one else wanted. There were no holiday shifts I was eve allowed to work, these were reserved for 'regular' worker and I was not considered one of those. Lolos expected me to work on my days off because my other job was part-time without benefits. After I injured my knee, I was not able to work as many hours as before.
I liked John Lolos but he slyly had an agenda for workers 40 + years of age. I was charged a $210.00 uniform fee that consisted of a used helmet, used raincoat, new green vest and two pocket t-shirts! These charges I did not learn about until he discharged me without notifying me of it. I told him I could not work a shift he asked me to work overnight 31 October 2016, afterI told him I would let him know. He stopped calling after that, next I knew I was summoned to a court hearing about an unemployment situation. Due to being shorted on pay and not used enough as worker with ACS, I had run short on my rent and ACS did not want to help out.
I did work shifts, mostly overnight at inconvenient locations where I had to walk long distances to get to the site. I was told to call cabs and save the receipts, he even got special 'uber-type' rides for me early in the morning. Later, I found out my pay was shorted and I probably paid for the service myself. I will always insist on getting the pay slips with hourly particulars or copies of the time sheets.
There seems to be a rash of companies targeting workers in security of a certain age, that have experience but were never veterans. Security is all about customer service but corporations want to place veterans above all other workers, knowing the government will keep its eye on them. Still, all workers male and female deserve the same considerations based on knowledge and experience.
Fairness in hiring is the right of any citizens and the abscence of discrimination for any reason is how the workplace is to be protected!
