I purchased a Pillar Dollar which was described as super Pillar Dollar in very fine condition and also a number of Lincoln cents which were all advertised as uncirculated in ms63, some red and some red-brown. A while later I sent the coins to a reputable third party grader. The Pillar dollar came back as counterfeit and the Lincoln cents as recolored and none of them were uncirculated I called ACSB several times and told the woman who answered about the coins and she said someone would call me back. No one ever did. I emailed ACSB about the coins several times but never received a reply. Don't buy from ACSB!
Several years ago I purchased some Lincoln cents and a Pillar Dollar from American Coin and Stamp Brokerage The cents were all graded as being MS 63. The Pillar Dollar was VF, super Pillar Dollar, so they stated. I recently decided to send the coins to ANACS for grading. The Lincoln cents all came back as being recolored and none graded MS 63. The Pillar Dollar came back as counterfeit.
I called them twice and was told someone would get back to me. They didn't. I emailed them. I got no reply. I know it has been too long to expect a refund, but I think it would be expected that they should at least get back to me with some type of explanation. I'll never buy from them again and would advise everyone not to either.
