NEVER PAY A COMPANY TO APPLY FOR A JOB

I have asked several friends who work for airlines (flight attendants and ground crew membes) about this site "GetFlightAttendantJobs.com" aka American Carrers and they all said, "STAY AWAY!"

Best advice: Go directly to an airline's web site, search their career/job opportunity pages and apply directly through their web site. Never pay a company a dime to apply or seek assitance for getting a job. A "headhunter" gets paid by a company for seeking and vetting the right people in the hiring process.

When I called the number listed on how to apply the automated female never mentioned anything about employment assistance, she specified the positions available as if she was a recruiter for the specific airline I was applying to. I did everything I was advised to do by the automated voice and roughly a month has passed by with no e-mails or phone calls. I have attempted to e-mail this company with my concern and never got a reply. I sent a money order for $39.00 and I honestly would like it refunded. I feel like I have been tricked into giving money to a company that only gives you Information on how to apply instead of actually recruiting you for employment. That is by definition a SCAM. Not to mention I never recieved the services I didnt know I was paying for any way.

I fell for a too good to be true scam for a flight attendant position that I paid a 39.00 processing fee by money order to American Careers.

American Careers The web site getflightattendantjobs.com gave a description they were hiring for flight attendants in your local area. There was no application to fill out just a number to call with all the specific details. When you call the number it gives you all the necessary info and says include a 39.00 processing fee which is refundable, it say that we should receive a packet in the mail pertaining to the job process. I haven't received a email or packet in the mail as of yet. My hopes were up really high for this position and I was hoping it wasn't a scam

PLEASE READ!!!!!!!! AMERICAN CAREERS is an internet SCAM! Don't go anywhere near that company. They are robbing people right and left and I am one of them. They have an ad for AIRLINE CAREERS/JOBS and they've structured and worded it such that they appear to be connected with various airline companies who are hiring for various positions, which they will list. You click on a map to find your state and sure enough your nearby airports are hiring. The only airport in my town just happened to be hiring for numerous positions. They tout the benefits and pay, $14 to $22 an hour, health insurance, vacation time, and free flight privileges! They've done this in Washington DC but now they are in Baltimore. They tell to call their number to get instructions on applying. It's an automated message that will tell you the first thing you need to do is get a money order for $39 dollars and send it to them. They says this is a processing fee for applying. Then they tell you to wait 10 days to allowing processing time after which they will send you the necessary documents/paperwork for applying. Sometimes they mail the packet and sometimes they don't. I had to call about it, and then they mailed it. There was no application. It was a booklet they've put together on the different types of jobs at an airline with descriptions of them and whatnot. That's it. That's all it was. They assigned you an applicant ID number with it, but basically the booklet is standard for what they send everyone. Then they have written on the email with your applicant ID number, that their applicant login is down at present, so you can sign in with your number, and they will let you know when it's back up. (right). It popped in my head, I should research these people on the net. Again, cart before the horse. When I did, I was able to pull up all kinds of complaints and stories about this scam. When I confronted them about it through an email, and ask for my $39 back, Yvonne Foxworth emails me back and says the only way I can get my money back is by supplying them with 10 JOB APPLICATIONS, and 10 REJECTION LETTERS from 10 DIFFERENT AIRLINES. I told her there was only one airport in my town, and American Careers says they are hiring, and I told her that I told Melody Markakis on the phone that I was not interested in being a flight attendant and just wanted a local administrative type job in the airport, and that I would not be able to give them proof of applying a 10 different airports. She states that she is sorry, but they are just a company who helps people look for jobs, that they are in no way affiliated with the airlines, and they only way I can get a refund is if they cannot help me find a job. Here's the thing people. They pretend that airlines are hiring, they have no idea. They pretend that they are the ones you will be applying to for a job with the airline you are interested in. They have no such role. They lead you to believe you are paying $39 processing fee, when there was nothing to process, just a booklet on how to write a cover letter, write a resume, interview for a job, etc., things that most of know or can easily obtain through minimal research. They don't ask for a credit card because those can be disputed. Nor a check, same thing. Kiss the money goodbye. I told them that was my last 40 dollars and it was and they did not care one iota. I had to go borrow some money from someone that week! Please don't give your hard earned money to THESE SCUMMY CRIMINALS! THEY SHOULD BE LOCKED UP! I hope you can access the link to the Fox News 6 story below. THEY'VE BEEN AT THIS A LONG TIME BUT IT'S STILL WORKING FOR THEM! http://fox6now.com/2015/05/18/too-good-to-be-true-fake-career-service-scams-job-seekers/
