American Campus Community My daughter leased an apt from them for school year 2017-18. She did not want to rent for the next school year 2018-19. But, they sent an email to her father SEPTEMBER 2017 for the following 2018-19 school year. He thought the email was for the current school year's lease, since it was SO early in the school year. He had NO idea it was for the following yeara. So he signed! My daughter NEVER signed anything, and was shocked to find out, just a few weeks ago, that she had another lease agreement for this year! American Campus did not reach out to her ONE time for her signature! They said they did not have to! I do NOT know HOW this company can get away with this. They NEVER contacted her about resigning the lease! (The person who it really matters) This is a VERY unhanded way to do business! TERRIBLE.
