In June of 2017 I traveled on American Airlines, I have been traveling with Them and previously US Airways for over 10 years. And let me tell you AA customer service is non existent. They don't care about you the passenger and your belongings. They lost my 2 bags and after 2 months of dealing with them they refuse to reimburse me for the bags and lost items. Jossette Vinson is horrible and does not care what so ever. Sean Bentel VP hides behind his employees and will not respond to you what so ever. I had over $1,000.00 in lost items and they absolutely refuse to pay for any of it. This airline needs to be shut down.
My girlfriend and I recently returned from a vacation in Hawaii. Our flight from Maui to Dallas was delayed 4 hours (unrelated to weather) which caused us to miss our connecting flight from Dallas to Toronto. We had to add another connecting flight through Chicago which also got delayed 2 hours. We arrived at our final destination 7 hours late.
To make matters worse, our luggage got lost and wasn’t returned until just passed midnight 2 days later. Due to this inconvenience and the additional costs we had to incur while at the airport, we asked for a refund. The best we were offered was 7,500 bonus miles…what a joke. Is that how much they value our time? We’ll see what the judge has to say.
