Been calling now for a week and get no response. Always voive mail and will call back. Or I will give them message to call. No body calls back. After all that they couldn't fix the problem. Had to have it told to a ford dealer. And the only problem there was , was bad gas, and they had to change the fuel injectors. which they said were good. Go figure..
On Feb. 15th I took my RV to American Choice RV to have it repaired because I had no speed. They said I had bad gas. Just filled tank up of 130.00. So they drained it and change filters. They changed the spark plugs.
They cleaned the throttle and all. Than they changed the oiland filter!
Still had problems. They charged me 500.00 to do engine diagnostics. They couldn't find problem. So after 1,514.72 and
1000.00 towing to a ford dealer in Port Richey.
Two weeks ago Friday I talked to service manager an we talked about refund, an he said i would get a check for 250.00 in a week. Well no check. Been calling for a week an get no response from them an get voice mail an no return calls.
All i want is the 250.00.
It cost me 2500.00 at ford dealer. Something they could catch an repair.
I bought my R-Pod179 in July .I have been trying to get the AC unit repaired from day one. The fan runs continuously. I have had it back in the shop since i bought it. i have not been able to use it as of yet. It is still in the shop .I told them I would like to have it back by Dec.1 as i have paid for three months on the river. They told me to go ahead and take it without it being repaired.this is not an option. If anyone knows how to fix this problem I am open to suggestions.
So, my fiance and I decided to purchase a travel trailer. We had been looking online and found the exact one we wanted and at a decent price. We drove to American RV where we were told the the trailer we wanted was not on the lot, but they would be willing to show us others. We explained what we DID NOT want and were shown everything we DID NOT want. Then when we were about to leave, we were told they 'found' the one we were looking for, but it was being used as for a film shoot for CMT. We were able to look at the trailer, but only for 5 minutes. Knowing it was the one we wanted, we went ahead and did the financing paperwork. We went from them needing 5% down to 10% down in a matter of 30 minutes. Then we were told because it was Saturday the banks were already closed and we would have wait until Monday for final confirmation, yet they already charged us the 10% down. Before leaving, we asked about having our truck wired for the brake controller, 7-pin, and weight distribution system for the trailer. We were told 3 times, including by one of the owners, the price for all of the above was $750.00. Not too bad, and it would keep us from having to drive all over town to get what we needed.
On Monday my fiance recieved a call that we were approved, yet we needed to come up there as soon as possible to sign the paperwork or the trailer could be sold out from underneath us, even with our deposit already paid! She went up there on Wednesday and signed the paperwork. We also had issues she wanted addressed prior to us taking delivery of the trailer. We also told them we had another week-and-a-half before our work schedules allowed us to pick up the trailer.
On the following Monday (the week we were to finally get our trailer) we received a phone call and were told the price estimate for the work on the truck was wrong and it would be $1,600.00 for everything (4 hours labor just for the install of the brake controller and 7-pin). Yeah, they can go f**k themselves, so I called U-Haul and they quoted me $236.00 for the brake controller and 7-pin. Then I called American Choice f-nuts and priced the trailer weight distribution system which was quoted as roughly $450.00. During this time, we received another call back and were told they lowered the price of the entire package to $900.00 (awww, don't we feel special). Needless to say I scheduled with U-Haul to do the install on the truck. I then called back to American Choice f**knuts and was told the weight-distribution system and install on it would be...wait for it...$750.00!! I asked how that was the case since our original quote was $750.00 including a brake controller and install before the new quote of $1,600.00. The lady was stumped and I spoke with the service manager. Well, Larry and I hashed out exactly what I needed and then he chicken-s* like put her back on the phone to tell me the price was $750.00.
I ordered a better system than what they would have put on my trailer for $175.00 from Adventure RV.com. You should try it, great prices! Anyway, we went on 11/7/15 to take delivery of our trailer and they had requested we be there at 0830 hours. Yeah, again, go f* yourself, we got there at 0930. Upon our arrival our trailer was under the detail cover and...yep, still being cleaned inside!! At about 1030 we started our walk-through of the trailer to take delivery. During this time we noticed a trim piece had been just thrown on there with staples and since they can't hit the broad side of barn, there was wood putty and paint where the staples had come through the front facing trim piece. We then discovered new scratches on the interior of our trailer. The outside had a nice gouge on the window trim on one of the slide outs. The door to the outside entertainment area was unable to be locked because the latches were defective (apparently that was a "manufacturer's defect") and the gauge on the propane tanks showed one of the tanks as empty when it was actually full.
There was no cap on the drain pipe, but they found one. There was no curtain to the bunk room, which we identified on original purchase day, and yet 2 weeks later, still no curtain. The ladder for the entertainment center was still missing and that too was identified on the original purchase day. The wall-paper was still not properly glued down, again, identified on purchase day. I asked about a wrench that didn't fit the scissor jacks and the maintenance guy said, "I don't know what that is for." Luckily, I know it is for the slide-outs in case the motors go bad. Yet, he couldn't tell me where the wrench inserts inside the trailer to retrieve the slide outs of the motors do go out. I also asked where the lug wrench was for the scissor jacks and the maintenance guy came back with a used, rusty one!
When we got there I was instructed to put my truck by the service line. I did and then Larry came out to ask about the brake controller. I told him he was price gouging and that my truck was a plug-and-play system and U-Haul only charged me 1.5 hours in labor. He said yea, if it is a plug-and-play system then it wouldn't take as long. Kinda funny since they ask what year and make your vehicle is before they quote you the price!!! I just turned and walked away!
Everytime we complained to our sales lady about the bulls* service quotes her response was, "Well, I don't know about that!" Yeah, the look on their faces was priceless when I handed them the keys and told them we would not be pulling it off of the lot today. We also told them we will be back in 2 weeks to get it, hopefully it will be completed and done correctly...although I highly doubt it! We even called her on the way home and told her we were not happy that when we finally do take delivery of our trailer on the 21st that our first payment is due on the 23rd and we will only have our trailer for 2 f* days!
Yeah, no one there knows what is going on...period! They are all about the quantity or volume of units moved rather than quality or customer service. Shame on us for not looking elsewhere or reading the reviews of this horrible f* company. Oh, and American Choice RV, this is us exercising our 1st Amendment Rights of Freedom of Speech....I served my duty overseas so go f* yourselves!
I consigned my 2012 5th wheel with America Choice RV in October 2014, in large part because I was so impressed with their customer service. I was moving to Europe and I didn’t want to deal with someone who would forget me as soon as I walked out the door. Worst. Experience. Ever!!
During my initial conversation, I told them the amount I was looking for and they thought it would sell quickly at that price. 3 months later, in January, I contacted them to see why I hadn’t gotten a single offer. I wanted to know if they had gotten any feedback, either on the condition of the RV or the price. Despite multiple emails, web chats and phone calls over the course of the next 6 weeks, I could not get an answer to this simple question. I was told that if I offered a personal cash bonus to the consignment person and the sales person who sold my RV, I might have better luck. I believe the amount suggested was $100 and $500 respectively. The rest of the time, voice mails and emails went unanswered and if I did speak to a live person, they assured me someone would call me right back, which they never did.
In response to one of the web site chat sessions, I received an email from the new owners, Scott and Cody. It was a form letter telling me they were contacting me to make sure I received the information I was looking for. They requested I contact them because they were constantly trying to improve their customer relations, processes and experience. They said my feedback was extremely important to them. I sent them several emails and called several times, still with no response.
In mid-February I finally spoke with a sales person who said the RV showed well and several people had put in offers, but financing fell through. When I renewed the consignment, (because I was living in Europe and had no choice) the new person I talked to suggested I drop the price, which I did, several times.
Eventually the RV sold on 24 July 2015. The new owners took possession on 14 Aug yet I saw no money until I threatened legal action and negative reviews on 29 August. At that time, I received a call back within 10 min and the money was wired to my account within hours.
Between 24 July and 29 Aug, I called 17 times and emailed 7 times requesting an explanation on why I had not been paid. The new owners took possession despite my explicit instructions that the RV not leave the lot until I had been paid. As with before, voice mails or messages were never returned. Emails were replied to stating they would tell accounting. When I did speak with someone, I was told accounting had been given the message or they would offer to transfer me to accounting or I was told anyone in management was with a customer but would call me right back.
On 29 Aug when my call was finally retuned, the person I spoke with acted as if we were long lost friends, asking me all about living in Europe and telling me if they had only known it was me calling all those other times, they would have called right back. No explanation nor apology for the 5 weeks of aggravation over the lack of payment.
