America's Top Buyer, Inc. Reviews

I attended one of these guys events, thinking it was "Antiques Roadshow" because they sent me flier in the mail with "Roadshow" in big bold letters across the front of it. When I showed up at the hotel they were having the event at, there was only 1 other person there and a couple of people sitting behind tables.

I couldn't hardly understand what the two kids that were there were saying because they are obviously very uneducated hillbillies. Not only did they have no idea what the idea what the item was when I brought it in, which was a very valuable gun from the civil war that had been passed down from generation to generation, they had to look it up on eBay to find out what it was and how much it was worth.

They found something "similar" to my item, which I pointed out was not the same one at all, they said that it was only valued at $80 so they could offer me about 40% of the value, offering me $30 for a gun that I had been quoted $2000 at a local gun show a few months before.

They said that they have to make money too so they could only offer $30 because they have all of these expenses like advertising for their events, sending out mailers, paying their buyers, paying their eBay guy who get 10%, plus the eBay and PayPal fees, so they were hardly going to make any money on buying it anyway.

When I mentioned to them that I had been told the value I had been told was around $2000 and even showed them the paperwork with the appraisal, they told me that they didn't know much about antique guns.

That's when some guy named Jim who was helping the only other person there said something, which was that I if I didn't like their offer that I would be better off selling to someone else who was willing to pay that much.

They were very rude and nothing but a scam praying on older people to take advantage of them. I was lucky that I had done my research before going there, otherwise I wouldn't have known what the gun was worth and probably would have sold it to them for $30, and then they would have turned around and sold it on eBay for $2000. What a bunch of con-artists.

I was contracted by Jim Duke of America's Top Buyer, LLC, aka America's Top Buyer Roadshow until Antiques Roadshow threatened to sue them for trying to confuse people into believing that they were one in the same show, so they dropped the "Roadshow" part.

I built a website, created logos, designed marketing materials, and then went on the road with them and shot, edited and produced a docu-reality video series, for which I wasn't fully reimbused for my expenses as promised or fully compensated for the work I did, and they now are illegally copying my videos off the internet with a video ripper, reproducing them and claiming that they (in particular Jim's son produced the videos, all done without my authorization and without paying for licensing rights.

I have all of the original artwork, video clips, etc to prove that this is my work. There is also meta data on the backend of every video clip with my copyright information.

Jim Duke and his family are nothing but a bunch of liars, thieves, criminals, scammers and con artists.
