We bought two 8 month toy poodles.The male had itchy ears the next day.The female had death breath. So l took them to the vet today to check them out. He asked, What are these supposed to be? We answered,Toy poodle. He replied, I don't think they are 100% poodle. They are mixed with something else. Then he asked about their age. We said 8 months old. He looked at their teeth and said, "No Way They are 8 Months old, because they have brown tartar all over their molars. That's why her breath is so bad." He said they are at least 1-1/2 years old.
The male has yeast and bacterial infections in both ears. Both dogs have round worms and hook worms, and he suspects tape worms also. Amber, the owner, and breeder, brags that she doesn't have to vaccinate against Rabies because she's a member of the Humane Society Of NC. And that she built 2 no kill shelters in her town, so they owe her. That's why they let her do whatever she wants. She actually told me this!
We called the Humane Society of NC to ask them about her. Not surprizing, they have NO IDEA who she is and asked for her contact info. They told us to give the information to Animal Control also. When I called Animal Control, the man that answered the phone said 'we know who she is. We've known about her for years. He then shocked me by telling me that she has several friends that work at Animal Control. So obvioulsy, there's some major corruption of their system there.
The dogs I bought did not have their Rabies vaccines. I was surprised, but I wasn't terribly concerned because I figured they're only 8 months old, I'll take care of it. But now, to know they are actually adult dogs that have never had a Rabies vaccine is really disconcerting. Especially because she lives out in the country, with all kinds of wildlife around her. It's clear that her buddies at Animal Control in Davie County are letting her get away with all kinds of illegal activities.
