Amazon Digital and Device Forum Reviews

  • Aug 29, 2023

Amazonforum.com pops up when paying Amazon customers search for Amazon customer service contacts. The site looks very much like an Amazon website, with Amazon company logos and Amazon device and service logos displayed prominently, and it is described as an Amazon forum. Some members claim they are "Amazon Staff" and include this information next to their usernames. The only way to ask a customer service question on these forums is to use your existing Amazon login and password information, which they are linked to and have access to (even though Amazon SWEARS this is not their site).

The "Amazon Staff" members of this forum have given private addresses, full names, and user login and password info to random general public members of this forum.

I've had to change my user info several times now as a result of this.

At the Twitter @AmazonHelp, an Amazon employee (supposedly -- there are now so many lies on the part of both Amazon and these fraudulent forums, I'm not sure @AmazonHelp is an actual Amazon social media account -- probably not), gives a bizarre answer, claiming it's a public forum, but only people with Amazon accounts can ask questions (hence the need to give them your Amazon login/password to access it). Here's the response:

Amazon Help @AmazonHelp Hi there. While we do respond to customer questions in the forum, it's open to the public. Anyone with an Amazon account can make posts. If you see something that violates our terms of service here: https://amzn.to/47QwxQh, you can flag the post for review. -Shannon 5:14 PM · Aug 29, 2023 · 50 Views In response to my direct request for info, this is the email I received from another SUPPOSED Amazon employee (at this point, I canonly assume this is more lies): Amazon.com Executive Customer Relations Tue, Aug 29, 2023 at 9:25 AM Reply-To: [email protected] To: [email protected] Your Account Amazon.com Message From Executive Customer Relations Hello Nina,

I’m Jodi of Amazon.com’s Executive Customer Relations. Your situation has been brought to my attention and I’m reaching out to offer additional clarification.

The website you are referring to isn’t an Amazon.com website.

If you entered your Amazon.com login and password (or any other personal information), we recommend that you update your Amazon.com password immediately by going to Your Account (https://www.amazon.com/your-account) and selecting "Login & Security." If you provided financial information, you may want to contact your bank or credit card provider.

Please refer to our Help Pages for more information on identifying whether a webpage is from Amazon:
