Amazing Clubs Reviews
I tried to write this review on trustpilot. Apparently amazing clubs.com get to review it before they post it to their site. What is written below is exactly what I wrote on trustpilot and amazing clubs is saying it's in violation of trustpilot guidelines. I've checked and met every guideline possible on their site. Amazing clubs.com likes to slander you on their site when you post a bad review. Every word is the Gods honest truth and have emails to prove it all. So I have no other option to get their bad service and experience out there than through this avenue and site. So figures crossed I'm not blocked here..... I signed my husband up to receive 6 months of the dessert club, a variety of "gourmet, fresh-baked desserts", as stated on their website. Keep in mind it's $30.95 per month for the 6 month package I signed my husband up for! We were absolutely amazed at the first shipment of a black forest cheese cake. It arrived on time, was frozen to preserve freshness and packaged perfectly to prevent damage and it's taste was incredible, simply to die for. He was so looking forward to the next shipment. The second shipment was a huge let down. We received a total of 16 individually wrapped chocolate covered Oreo cookies. They arrived on time and were packaged perfectly to prevent damage but what a huge rip off!! I could have bought a whole package, of what, 30 cookies and dipped and sprinkled them with mini candies myself for about five bucks.
Just received an email letting me know my third shipment is on the way and you'll never guess what it is.....Ya you guessed it cookies!! A little different from the previous shipment but still cookies. Coconut pecan and chocolate peanut butter chip...o'boy. I was under the impression by all these reviews that we would be WOWED with each shipment of desserts from all over the world, like cakes and pies, pastries and fresh baked brownies and cookies, not Oreos. I'll update once our 2nd shipment of cookies arrive to let you know if they were store bought and just fancied up like the Oreos
I ordered the Wine of the Month Club for one of my children for a Christmas present. He then went into AA and recovery for alcoholism and asked me cancel the subscription. He did NOT want them to send wine to his home any longer. I emailed Amazing Clubs to cancel the subscription. They sent the wine anyway, then they responded with a canned response to ask me if I was "sure" I wanted to cancel. I never even seen that response, it went right to spam.
Two months later, they charged me AGAIN, after my request to CANCEL. I contacted them and they said I never CANCELLED IT. Though the email they sent, INCLUDED my request to CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION within the email chain.
I responded again copying them on my request to CANCEL. They responded again, this time saying I never responded to their response to my first email CANCELLING THE SUBSCRIPTION and therefore didn't cancel it.
I argued that I had CANCELLED the subscription with my first email. Period, the end.
They responded again, this time to say it's NOT UP TO ME to CANCEL THE SUBSCRIPTION I PAID FOR, but rather up to my child to cancel it, even though it was charging MY credit card. And because it was after the 10th of the month, there was nothing they could do.
They then told me their would be no further responses from them in regards to this matter.
I believe this practice to be unethical and simply, bad business. If someone CANCELS your service in writing, it is CANCELLED. You can respond asking them why, but the fact remains it was CANCELLED, IN WRITING. If you continue to provide service to someone AFTER they CANCELLED your service, in writing, that is on YOU, not them.
Amazing Clubs has now taken me for TWO payments of $34.95 after I had expressed my desire to CANCEL their SERVICE. The second charge, therefore was UNAUTHORIZED BY ME. I believe they have committed a crime in doing so.
I am contacting my bank to dispute these charges.
I urge anyone doing business with Amazing Clubs to be aware of this before you decide to purchase from them: if for any reason you decide you do not want their service any more or are unhappy with it, they may continue to charge your credit card despite your desire to cancel.
