Alternative Online Design, LLC Reviews
Very helpful
I enjoy the way they worked with me. They made a lot of promises. I have made money back on my investment. It takes time. Most people who post negative reviews get upset if they dont see full investment in the first 2 months. Glad i stuck with it and made some extra money for my retirement.
I am 82 years old and my wife has Alzheimers. I was looking for a work from home business. After answering a work from home ad, I was inundated with offers. One of these offers was a phone call from Alternative Online Design.
I was a little familiar with on line marketing and Amazon. They offered to set me up with an Amazon online store that would sell merchandise that Amazon would ship and collect payment for and send me a commission. It sounded like a good program to me so I paid the $399.00 purchase price with a money back gurantee. However the original contract was with a company called AT Web Design LLC.
I received several calls from Alternative Online Design enquiring as to the available credit on my credit cards. Then I received a call that explained how I could increase my earnings up to $2,000 per month. The cost for these increased earnings worked out to be the exact amount of available credit I had on my credit cards, $6,800. I explained that if I did not see an immediate return on my investment I would not be able to repay the credit cards. I was assured that the income from my new business would be more than enough to service the debt on my credit cards.
So my store was aet up and it looked beautiful. I could just see the money rolling in from all the traffic that Alternative Online Design was to direct to my new website. About a month later I received a check for $100. They explained that it was a commission check. About a month later I received another $100 commission check. I was excited becuse this was just the beginning of the promised 75,000 visitors I would have to my website.
Then nothing until I filed a complaint with the BBB. I received a call promising to make everything right beginning with an appointment the following Tuesday. The appointment was a no show. A message was left on my answering machine a couple of hours later. We have been playing telephone tag for the last week.
In my opinion these people are scam artist preying on ignorant peoples greed to make an easy buck.
I was called by a gentleman named Clinton and he talked me into getting a website built to market items from Amazon.com, I know the Amazon name and thought sure, it would be a good way for me to raise money for my mission trips. I was told they would guide me all the way. I paid $595 for the package. The website also has me paying monthly hosting fees.
a couple days later another gentleman called and wanted me to spend $6000 for them to do an SEO Optimization on the website which would increase my opportunity to make sales. I did not want to spend any more money, then a man named Rich got on the phone and discussed things with me and convinced me to spend an additional $2500 to get SEO and 50,000 targeted hits to my website.
I have had the website up and running since the end of November, I rarely get any clicks through to Amazon and have had absolutely ZERO sales. I called the company and asked about the help I was told I would get to make it work and was told I needed to call Amazon. Considering I was told they would help I was quite upset.
I called another person at AOD and left a message. After a few days he returned my call and said he was in an auto accident and was out but he would call me on the next Sunday afternoon and spend times with me. Sunday came and no phone call. I called a couple days later and they told me the guy was in the hospital. To this date, they have made no effort to contact me or assist me in getting this working as explained to me.
I want all of my money back from this company as they failed to live up to what they told me they would do.
I was called by an individual from Alternative Online Designs that spoke to me for 1 1/2 hour to 2 hours. She stated that she had been given my name as an individual that might be interested in making $2,000-$2,500 per month just by putting a Website up, and that they had the ability to do so. All that I had to do was give them $950.00 and they would get my website up and running the next day. I would get commissions from the purchase of computers and computer items; and from people who started on my website and then subsequently clicked on something that took them away from my website and purchased something else.
I told the individual that I could not afford to pay so much for something that I was not sure would make me any money. She stated that if I did not make the $950.00 back in the first month, the company would refund my payment (stating that is how great this company is and how much they feel that I would be making money so quickly). Also, I had three months to try the system out and if at the end of that time I was not happy, I could get a full refund of my payment, less anything I had received in commissions. Before the website was up and running, I got a call from an individual who said he was the Advertising Director and that I was required to purchase advertising to make the website make the commissions.
When I was purchasing the website, nothing was said about a $7,500.00 advertising charge, or a $29.95 per month hosting charge. Within the three days of agreeing to the $7,500.00 advertising fee, I called and cancelled. However, the third day fell on a Saturday. Mr. Advertising Director called me on Monday and told me I was too late to get a refund, that there was no “Three days” and if there was, I was too late to get it. He somehow tried to tell me that the third day was the following Monday (I had called the Saturday before and left messages on at least four telephones) and because I had not called on that Monday, that I was past the three days (I had called within the three days).
I am on disability, as is my husband and we do not have the money to pay the fees that are required on the $950.00 charge on a charge card and the $2,500 on another card and the $5,000.00 on another card. I have asked for a refund through the credit card companies, but the Advertising Company seems to state that they have provided me with “work product” and they should be paid for it. I have not received a penny from any advertising; I have not been given any advertising; I have not used the website and did at least get the credit card company to stop the $29.95 a month hosting fees. Now, just by looking up the company on the internet, I find that the fees I was charged was excessive from what is on their website for anyone to purchase.
