I read the other rip off reports on this "company" and I had a very similar experience. They finger print you, as if you had commit a crime, they work in a suspicious warehouse and shut all doors right at closing. The people working there are very suspicious. They track you with a GPS to deliver the phone book. Ridiculous. You aren't given a real route just street names with inaccurate range of houses. Included: Roads that humanity hasn't seen for years (or shouldn't see). Winding, twisty, treacherous dirt roads with maybe one house at the beginning and not much else. However listed is 1 to 99 homes. All this company wants is you to be their slave. They want it delivered but refuse to have it anywhere but the front door which is extremely time consuming and dangerous. You are trespassing thousands of homes.
You can't just put it on driveway like all other phone books are delivered and all newspapers for that matter. I'm not sure if this company handled the whole area where I'm from but aside from my route every single phone book I saw was delivered in the driveway. or worse, a crime, on the mailbox. Now the GPS probably isn't even accurate but they say they can tell if you haven't delivered to the doorstep. I delivered to the door steps of many homes at the beginning but then decided it was all too risky to continue doing so.
Also how do they expect you to deliver on very busy roads? I will be writing to all advertisers to discontinue putting their ads in the book and the newspaper to not advertise this job as it is fraud. I was talked down to and said my work was a mess and that I needed to clean it up. They talked as if I had just thrown the books in the streets. No they were actually in the driveways of peoples homes like they are every year.
When they assumed I didn't deliver to all doorsteps I was told my pay would be zero. However after nudging they magically decided that I did about half correctly and my pay was half. By the way the pay sucks for the danger you are putting yourself in by the turning out of driveways the busy streets the fact that you are trespassing, potentially very angry people, an incorrect dangerous route, scratches and damage to your car, no signs or uniform telling who you are, and of course gas and miles driven and wasted.
On top of that don't dupe your family into helping with this mess. Countless hours are wasted putting books in bags that the company could of easily done on a machine. Impossible for one person to work this job and do it in the required three days time. An absolute fraud and shame to humanity. Reported to the BBB.
