I contracted with Allways Moving to move my belongings from CA to VT, the sales staff was very nice and responsive. i arranged for my move several weeks in advance, but 2 or 3 days before the move they called and had to change the date due to a scheduling error. They finally picked up my belongings on July 5, 2014. On the day of the move, I was charged extra because the sales person had given me a bad quote. They initially told me it would take 7-10 days to deliver my things and because it was a cross country move it might take as long as 2-3 weeks. when I didn't hear from them on 3 weeks, I started calling them- daily. My calls we're not returned most of the time and i was told a couple of times they couldn't give me a good ETA because they didn't know where my stuff was. My things were finally delivered on September 20 Because they couldn't give me a good delivery date until 2 days prior, I couldn't be there personally because I was still living in CA. I had some friends accept the delivery for me. When I finally arrived in VT and went to the storage unit to get some of my things, I discovered two large boxes that do not belong to me. I called the company a couple of times and asked that they make arrangements to pick up the boxes so they could be delivered to their rightful owners. Of course, no one returned my calls. I called again today and the rep who helped me had to check with her supervisor to find out what to tell me. After several minutes on hold, she told me her supervisor said I should just destroy the items that weren't mine or I could ship them back, at my expense, but they would not pick them up from me. She said the reason they hadn't returned my calls and couldn't pick them up is because they don't have offices in VT and do not deliver to nor pick up in this state. I told her that wasn't true because they had in fact delivered my things to VT, and she simply reiterated that I should destroy everything and they couldn't provide me with ant other help. I would strongly discourage anyone from using this company and will do whatever I can to locate the true owners.
