Allure Marketing Group Reviews

This is one of those other marketing groups that I have read was apparently a scam. I had just went through their interview. It was not much of an interview at all to be quite honest. She discussed a three interview process and asked what days I would be available for if I was considered for a second interview. I told her Wednesday (this first interview was conducted Monday) and she said 'okay'. The person that e-mailed me to schedule an interview appointment, lets call her M, and the person that interviewed me under a different name, lets call her A, sounded exactly the same on the phone. I will get to that soon.

But first, I had just finished an 'interview' with them and I decided to research more on their company. I did do research on them before the interview, but not a thorough one. All I did was look up their website and read everything they had to say on their website. So I started looking up more information on them. The reviews were alarming. It screams 'scam' at the top of its lungs all over. Just then my phone rings and it's Allure Marketing Group getting back to me on how I have just been accepted for a second interview and asked if I would be available for Tuesday. She told me she was the e-mailer M, but she sounded a lot like the lady that interviewed me, A. l told her 'no' but she sounded so insistant I told her I would be available on Wednesday. She immedietely went on to assume and bluntly ask if my Tuesday was set for a second interview for another place. I told her no, and that I just had a busy schedule on that day and I had already set many other appointments that day that I would like to keep. She then started questioning me in a much more heated tone saying something along the lines of "then why would you keep appointments that haven't guaranteed you a job like we have?" (mind you, considering this was apparently a three step process interview, their second interview guaranteed me nothing but a wasted 8 hours following around one of their employees for my entire Tuesday. Yes, that was their idea of a second interview). This was already stepping over boundaries the second she became so inquisitive of how I preferred to spend my Tuesday, on a very personal level. I found it quite fishy, she sounded almost desperate and definetely unprofessional. I have been through a couple interviews, and have had to turn down some, but never, until her, did I experience such a level of unprofessionalism from a recruiter, as for her to have stepped over the boundaries of work and someone else's personal life. She then threatened me, asking 'Then should I ask other qualified candidates to take your position?'. I could hear the anger in her voice. I was tired and I just read alarming reviews on this 'firm', group, or whatever they'd like to refer to their scam as. So I told her 'that's okay' as in, go ahead. I don't mind passing on this job. I mean, I do mind that some unlucky person is going to waste 8 hours of their Tuesday for little to no guarantee on anything while I have been enlightened on the matter a lot earlier. But that's why I am reporting this group. Something is fishy. She at first expressed confusion "what?" and I explained that I didn't mind passing up the offer, and it went quiet on her side for a long time. I was still planning to say a formal good-bye to be courtious but the silence caused a bit of confusion. "Hello?" I asked. Then I heard the phone click.

WEIRD EXPERIENCE- RESEARCH and VERIFY KNOW YOUR VALUE

Know your value. This company wanted me to shadow a staff member for 8 hours free of charge, The scam reviews are factual. The great reviews are not completely authentic. I had the same experience as everyone else! Strangest experience ever!

I wont go to the second interview

OMG thank you so much for all this information!! Today I had the 1st interview and it was weird, when I got there I saw like 7 people waiting to be interviewed, then each interview lasted no more than 10 minutes; I saw the recruiter doing the same process to all of us like a robot, when it was my turn it was weird, he barely asked about my marketing experience, he just tried to sell me the "wonderful job possition" then he said they will call me later to see if I was a candidate for a second interview and I smiled because I thought it was a good company, so the man saw my smile and say "you know what, you've got the job! Just come tomorrow at 10:30 am and you will be here until 6:30 pm, bring a notebook and a pen" of course when he told me that, I was afraid so I went on all of this research and I found is a scam!! Thank you so much for posting this!! And I hope that I can help you with my experience!! DO NOT WASTE 8 HOURS OF YOUR VALUABLE TIME!!!

Once you confirm attendance you will receive a boiler plate email that reads in part: "We look forward to meeting with you! You will have an opportunity to sit down with our hiring manager to discuss the position applied for and review more of your qualifications. The preliminary interview typically lasts between 30-45 minutes, so please accommodate accordingly. As we discussed earlier today, your appointment is scheduled for (date) 2018 (time). If for any reason you are unable to make this date or time, please send us an email. The dress is business casual and remember to bring a printed copy of your resume. We are located at 690 8th Ave, New York, NY... They end the email with: "Please reply to (alluremarketinggroup email) to confirm your appointment.”

And here begins is my issue. My contact, the HR Dept. Manager wrote back: "If you... have questions regarding the position you applied for, please do not hesitate to give us a call.” And so i called. Within a couple of rings an automated voice stated that "sorry but this number is not accepting calls”. So i emailed her, a few hours before the scheduled meeting, indicating that I had called. I then wrote that i would have liked to ask her a few questions before we met, and to please let me know a better time to call, or call me, and that until we spoke to postpone our meet. Now, i didn’t get a reply to that email; instead, the contact texted me, writing "I am in and out of the office today and we do not conduct phone interviews.” Fine, don’t interview me on the phone, but i should be able to ask some clarifying questions before meeting anyone, right? She replied by text that I asked how could she assist on the message thread. I replied back that, as a reminder, the original email stated that if I had questions regarding the position I applied for, to "please do not hesitate to give us a call.” Then the contact texted asking what was the issue, to which i replied that I had some questions i would like answered first before meeting. She asked back why had i not texted my questions. I replied that there were too many questions to ask by text, that i just needed a few minutes on the phone.

At that point i reread the entire text exchange and found the tone of her texts a bit abrupt and unprofessional, so i ended texting to disregard my inquiry and to cancel my interview, to which she replied "I agree. We need candidates who are punctual and good problem solvers.” What the...? I called her and emailed her hours before the meeting, but time management, communications, and etiquette are obviously not the forte of Ms. Out-of-the-Office-all-day-Monday morning-and-If-you-have-questions-regarding-the-position-you-applied-for-Please-do-not-hesitate-to-give-us-a-call.” Sheesh!

Just google devilcorp! i have been working at the company for about 2 months and am desperately trying to find another job. The hours are long, 70 hours a week with all the office duties you perform for free. You will have no time for yourself and they actually advise you not not try and explain the job to friends and family, which you will never see anyway. It's all commission based pay, they will lie about how much people are making a week in the second round interview when the reveal the mysterious "exciting" part where you are shown the corporate structure. Everything is a lie, so many red flags!! do not get sucked in! they have a rehearsed answer for everything!
