This promotion from Allumiere cosmetics did not mention anything about a 14 day trial with full payment if not cancelled within 14 days. I had looked carefully for small print and couldn't find anything suspicious except that fact that it was free for shipping only. That should have been a big clue! I have contacted the company to learn that they also intended to keep sending me more product and billing monthly if I hadn't cancelled The order. I have cancelled today. I will watch my credit card because I certainly can't trust them now. Hopefully I won't have to cancel my card.
I was aware of possible scam because I was charged previously because I did not return samples within two weeks. I read all the paperwork included in the shipment and there was nothing about the 14 day requirement. Apparently it was on the website.
I phoned when the charges appeared (140.71 + 142.16) this morning. I reasonably spoke to the person pointing out I had this problem before and I would be calling TD VISA scam line about them. I received several offers, asked to speak to the supervisor, reiterated my call to TD. Finally I was told to return the two creams and I could pay $19+ dollars each.
They are packed up to be returned. I acknowledge my stupidity. I am already loved by many, at 79+ I have few wrinkles. I will never again fall for an offer. This one was apparently successful on Dragon's Den. I will also be in touch with the Dragons.
