Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists of Indianapolis Reviews

Dropped all 4 wheels off at AWRS Indianapolis, from my 2013 Corvette the 2nd week of June, for a complete restoration. I told them to pay special attention to the right rear wheel as per my tire shop telling me that particular wheel appeared bent, upon balancing. I also explained that I was 3 hours away round trip from their shop, and would be back in town on the 15th to pick them up. Subsequently, I spoke to them on the 14th to make sure my wheels were ready for pick up, only to be told that the right rear wheel could not be straightened but they had reconditioned the rest and that my bill would be $450.00.

I asked them if they used factory paint for the wheels, so when I purchased a new replacement wheel, they all would match. They told me that they used their own paint, and couldn't guarantee there would be a match. Of course I would have appreciated being notified of this situation before work continued to have all wheels painted at the same time, but since they charge storage fees if you don't pick up you wheels on time, I had no choice at that point.

When I came to pick up my wheels, I noticed that they did not line up the industry standard yellow circles on the tires, with the valve stems, as any tire shop would know. I asked them to remount the wheels properly and make sure they were re balanced. A couple of days later, I received the new wheel, had it mounted and balance locally, but after putting all wheels back on the car and driving, I noticed the other wheels had not been re balanced and had severe vibration, and upon inspection saw that there was still black paint over the balance weights from AWRS.

After 3 calls to speak with the manager, I was stalled and given excuses why he wasn't available, but would call me back. Also, 1 call to corporate has resulted in no response. I left messages with people at AWRS Indy, and with Jan at AWRS corporate to see if they would at least pay for a re balance at my local tire shop, instead of driving the 3 hours plus wait time to have AWRS do it. And considering that AWRS appears to not know/care what they are doing, I don't trust them anyway. I do not recommend anyone using their "service" as they can't do the job right, or will they follow up, when they are aware of their mistakes !
