Allied Motor Parts Reviews

Contacted Allied Motor Parts about a replacement head for my Chevy Cobalt they sent me a remanufactured cylinder head which was not for my car after educating myself and talking to them I clearly saw that they had no idea of what they was doing they simply didn't have the basic knowledge to know how to determine which part I needed I had to tell them I have tried returning it at first they told me I had to pay for return shipping I told them they sent the wrong part they can pay for the shipping in a roundabout way I got a shipping label tried sending it back the shipping label is bogus.

Actually I tried using two of their shipping labels both were no good. These people are without a doubt the most unprofessional unknowledgeable in mature business. I have never dealt with they blame me because they sent the wrong part these people are totally clueless.

In the beginning of January, I had to order a head in order to replace a broke one i had. The first head that was sent to me was the wrong side. I ordered a passenger side and they sent the driver side. I sent that one back and requested they send the one i ordered. The next head they sent was set up for EGR and i requested one without EGR. When i called about it, they said it would work but if i didnt want it to send it back. When we put it on and cranked the truck it leaked coolant from the EGR ports in the head and blew blueish smoke from the tail pipes. When i called to complain about it, their answer was... Oh, the head must have had a crack in it. They finally sent the head i requested and we put it on but the truck wouldnt crank. Found out that the oil and coolant mix because of the bad head.

Had to send the truck to a mechanic shop and theyve been tearing down my engine. They sent the head to a machine shop and they found a hole in the head that Allied sent. This caused a valve to get stuck and has ruined my intake manifold. If they would have sent a quality part from the beginning it would have been a quick fix. Now im looking a bill for over $2000 because of their lack of quality. Calling them tomorrow to see what they have to say about it, then possibly contacting a lawyer.
