An individual called me asking me what type of copier I had. I thought it was suspisious, so I gave the individual very limited information, and only told him we have a HP copier. I also told him our corporate office handles ordering of all toner, we are NOT allowed to order toner. He immediatly hung up.
A week later I get a bill in the mail ALLIED BUSINESS EXPRESS for Toner that was supposedly sent to me (which I never ordered nor received). It was for Toner I DO NOT order, on a copier I DO NOT own. The invoice was for almost $600.
When I researched the ALLIED BUSINESS EXPRESS address on the invoice, it comes up as a UPS Store in Michigan.
Called our office and got low level employee to check model number of printer so they could send supplies. Got a bill a few days later for $498. Employee is not authorized to make purchases.
We have a service contract with a local provider who gives us free toner. Allied Business Express does not exist and uses a UPS store mailbox to collect payment.
Recieved an invoice for Toner in the mail. The invoice was addressed to someone that hasn't worked at our company in 10+ years. It referenced a model of printer that we don't own!
I called and someone simply answered "Hello" I asked if it was "Allied Business Express?" She said yes. I asked for accounting, and she said that she was accounting. It all seemed very odd and sketchy. I said I wasn't going to pay and she said she would cancel the order.
I just received an invoice for $478.50 plus $19.95 S&H for a Toshiba Toner. 1) I do not own a Toshiba printer. 2) I have never ordered any product from them. Unless they can prove otherwise, I am not paying the invoice.
They called our company and talk to our receptionist. They then sent us a bill for $498.45 saying we ordered toner. We do not order toner ever. I called the manager of their fake company and said please do not harass us any more. They then called the next day and asked for our accounts payable. I had to call them again. They are an awful company and I have notified the authorities. Please help spread the word about this scam.
The person that called was named Christina (could be fake). I got her to send me a copy of the bill because she was trying to pay it. I work in AR. She gave me the number above and when I tried to call back, the number didn't work. (Imagine that!) This is a TonerPhoner. Just hang up.
