I have managed apartments in Sarasota Fl. For the owners for over 20 years. This kid is in the top 10 for worst tenants ever! He signed a 6 month lease that he must NOT have read. The first check was returned for some reason and never paid the bank fees. He only paid the rent on time once out of the 6 months and never paid the late fees as required. Never covered the apartment with renters insurance as required by the lease. This kid (which he is not) just thinks a contract is for everyone else but himself.
When he moved out and only gave me two weeks notice and I ended up losing 3 days rent because of the way he lived. He asked me about the mold in the bath room at one point. I told him that the were products on the market called soap and bleach and this would work as well opening the window might be smart.
He never did clean the bath room. It had to be scraped, sanded and painted because of his neglect. The entire apartment had to be painted. If that wasn't bad enough he put holes in the kitchen back splash. I certainly don't know how to fix 25 yr. Old Formica that looks like wood. How do you match that?
Then when his Dad Dr. Will Trebing posted on this site ridiculous lies that proved he doesn’t know how to read a lease either was just to much so that I had to respond because of my reputation as being told that I am a slum landlord which is NOT the case. I did give this kid a check (he cashed) just so he wouldn't cry but that did not work. He just had to call and cuss me out, I didn't know one could use so much profanity in one message.
I should have kept the whole deposit just because he did not give me the 30 day notice as required in the lease he signed. But I do try to do to others as done. Beware renting to him. As I learned the hard way.
