Alex Keyes Reviews

Michael is very good at customer relations and made both my husband and I feel like we were in good hands when we first met with him to process our immigration petition.

The price quoted for our application for perminent resident status was high - $4500 (not including any application fees) - but we felt we were going with the best and taking charge of the situation, so happily paid.

The office did take care of our initial application and interview well, and everything went smoothly. I should note that we were not actually handled by Michael, but rather one of his staff, the very competent Faviola. Not something to complain about in itself, necessarily, but paying such a high price, it was a little surprising to be handed off immediately after payment.

The problem came two years later, when we had to revisit the case at the two year mark.

In a marriage petition, you have to apply to have your provisional green card changed to a permanent one two years later. This was a process that was covered in detail during our initial quote. We were very much led to believe that it would be covered in the service payment of $4500 that we initially remitted to the firm.

Oh, my surprise, then, when I called in a year and a half later to find that I would be charged the same $4500 again to cover this service, despite the fact that they would already have collected all of our documents, and would need to do a fraction of the work to resolve the issue.

Checking my initial hire letter, the service covered is stated as "Application for US Permanent Residence." I am still not a permanent resident, and will not be until this petition is handled. Yet apparently I have to double my payment in order to complete this process.

To make matters worse, when I reached out to the firm for my follow up, they seemed confused about the details of my case, getting my husband's name wrong repeatedly despite correction.

Seriously disappointed, especially given the glowing reports elsewhere, and having been initially recommended through a family member.

If you're not concerned about shelling out a serious amoung of money, on a recurring, shifting basis, then perhaps this is still the best option for you. But if spending tens of thousands of dollars on your immigration process gives you pause, look elsewhere, or proceed at your peril.
