I rent from alden short inc i have black mold in my house, i cant use my bathroom sink its flooded the house and leaks all over have black mold around my tub and rats all in my house, ive called them sent them work orders that i have a copy of not to mention i pay rent on time and have 5 kis including a new born ......im pissed....idk what to do....
Same old , same old......apts have much roaches...........halfway maintenance if any, NO air at all throughout the year altho they advertise a/c........the manager at koko and lauia apts....her name is connie will make up false "fines".....as well as vrios "fees" and when confronted plays stupid !!!! Everything wrong with these raggedy apys. is always tenants fault............no maitenance...and when asked about any maintenance that same stupid look .....again !!!!Very, very racial.....on and on and on................
After submitting my application along with $231 in fees, all requested documentation of income and rental history, being approved, paying my deposit of $1250, enrolling in their rental portal, purchasing rental insurance, flying in from CA during Covid-19, hiring a moving company, turning on utilities, and terminating my lease at my previous home, I was told ON THE DAY OF MY MOVE that they have decided not to rent to me. The reason I was given was that I would not be a full time occupant as I had rented the place for my son who is a college student. This was stated on my application. I then contracted with a realtor to help me find new housing amidst COVID-19 (not easy) who saw on the MLS that the property had been rented out from underneath me. To add insult to injury, I was then notified via email that I was being charged $75 in late fees for non-payment of rent for a home that I do not live in! It will be interesting to see if my deposit is returned to me. I plan to take legal action. ! I have made 2 trips to TX, lost 3 weeks of work, endless hours searching for properties, emotional distress compounded by the pandemic and an increase in rent at my previous home due to cancellation of my original lease. It will be interesting to see if my deposit is returned to me. I plan to take legal action.
