They repaired my truck after 100 miles truck broke down with lot more damage
06/30/2015
My semi truck had bad oil cooler, it was mixing oil into coolant.
My driver took it to them, they had it in a shop for 2 days, truck was released from shop on 07/02/15,and bill was $ 2197.62, also it was last working day before 4th of July weekend.
After the driver has left service, after 15 miles he had to go back to the shop, because they have not flushed engine good enough, truck was throwing oil into coolant overflow tank once again. When he got back , they just cleaned the tank, but not whole engine, and they let him go.
I have received a call from driver after about 2hrs saying he heard loud pop, engine droped oil pressure and shut off.
I have called the Volvo Dealer in Albert Lea, MN, they were the closest open shop. Truck was towed in and after they took a look at receipt from ALDEN DIESEL, they were saying that ALDEN probably didn't use plug kit, debris has went down into oil pan and most likely main bearing # 4 is damaged. On Monday 07/06/15 truck was taken apart, they took oil pan off and found bearing # 4 damaged, oil pump has exploded, also they took pictures. After taking oil cooler housing off they found out that engine wasn't flushed properly, due to oil pump failure turbocharger was locked up and damaged too.
On same day I have called Alden Diesel and spoke with Vince, owner of the shop, his firs words were: WE SHOULD NOT LET HIM GO. I have talked to him few times, after my truck was done I have paid $ 14,280.67 for repair at DAVE SYVERSON TRUCK CENTER, and he told me to give him few more days, he's got his insurance company involved, and they are doing research.
In the meantime I had to rent another truck for my driver, so he can continue to work and that was another $ 2500 for two weeks, plus $ 800 for meals and motel rooms and $ 300 for taxi to pickup rental truck and take it back later on.
My total loss in 2 weeks was $ 20,078.29 not including lost wages for my driver.
All I have ask them is to pay repair bill at VOLVO, nothing else.
Yesterday, 08/04/15 I've received email from Vince where he is saying that VOLVO never gave him right answer what caused the damage.
I asked him why did he lied about insurance company, and he never responded back.
He definitely has lied about his Insurance company involvement .
