BEWARE: Alcon Dailies Rebate is a scam. Read the fine print and then call repeatedly if you ever hope to see your money! Good luck....because Rachel, the customer service rep, was too well prepared with reasons why they weren't paying.

I filed for our daughter, as a first time contact user and in the fine print on-line there are two restrictions, one being that the rebate must be filed within 60 days. Despite that the on-line form takes all your information and confirms receipt, but you never receive any notification of issues.

- I called back today and got a VERY WELL-PREPARED script of why thay aren't paying. How was I to see this limitation without logging on is beyond me.

- I'm filing a complaint also through Sam's Club who should be aware of what type of supplier they have.

Overall, I feel most sorry for my daughter who was planning on using this $200 and I'm now looking at how to avoid using Dailies again for either my daughter or myself ever again.

I spent hundreds of dollars on ALCON Daily Choice lenses. They were more expensive than what I had been using, but the $200 rebate made the cost comparable with my previous lenses.

On January 31, 2017, I successfully submitted the materials for my $200 rebate and received confirmation from the ALCON website that everything was in order and that my rebate (Alcon Visa Card) would be shipped in 2 to 3 months. I remembered this rebate last week. I finally located my Rebate Number (you MUST have this number in order to check on your rebate), and a few moments ago the website told me that my rebate should be received in another 3 to 4 weeks.

IF, I receive this VISA card at the end of July, 2017, it will have taken 6 months to get my rebate. Personally - after watching the operation of the website and reading other coments on the web, I think that the Visa cards are shipped out ONLY IF the consumer makes a follow-up on the rebate web-site. I have screen shots of all steps I have taken, so there is evidence of everything I have written above (except the assumption that the card is shipped only if an inquiry is made).

IF you are still waiting for your rebate AND have your rebate application number, the website to check your rebate is: alconchoice.com/existing

For rebate related questions there is also a toll free number: 1-(855) 344-6871. The wait times ARE LONG, as one might expect for an operation which seems to not send out rebate cards.

Beware the Alcon rebate scam!

Get a postal tracking number and delivery confirmation!

Just like others here, I was duped by the Alcon rebate scam. My UPCs and rebate information were "lost in the mail," and boy oh boy did the representative George sound rehearsed in saying that line as if he's very used to repeating it all the time. It seems pretty suspicious to me that Alcon's rebate center has such a high number of packages that are lost along the way.

After waiting well over the 8 weeks the rebate center claims it should take to process, I called to see what was up. As George told me, I'd have to resubmit all my receipts and UPCs again because they never received them. But it's already too late and past the expiration date of the rebate offer to try and submit again.

If you want to get any traction with these scammers, do yourself a favor and get a tracking number with delivery confirmation when you mail out your rebate. Yeah it shaves a few dollars off the rebate, but a few dollars less is better than being screwed out of the whole rebate amount. Without tracking information, you're wasting your time and you're giving money to a company that preys on consumers with their "fine print" loopholes to bilk you.

If I were you, I'd avoid Alcon altogether as this Alcon rebate scam seems like it's pretty common.
