Aim Beauty Reviews

We don't recommend Aim Beauty / Aim Cosmetics / AimBeautyOnline aimbeautyonline.com - Aim Beauty / Aim Cosmetics / Artistry In Motion Cosmetics

"AIM Cosmetics / AIM Beauty is a tiny makeup store in Harlem, NY. It seems to be private labeled products with stickers with their logo/name printed on them. It's very obvious they do not develop the private label makeup line, skincare products and sope they sell themselves.

In my professional and personal opinion, most everything they sell is private labeled (they buy the stuff and put stickers with their name on it which anyone can do) from a large makeup (cosmetics) / skincare manufacturers private label wholesalers like "Your Name Pro - Private Label Cosmetics Company based in Long Island, NY.

Those product lines that people buy from in order to private label and re-sell their products are typically very low quality. For example, low pigment, does not last on my skin but I can't speak for anyone else, does not stay on all day, no long wear time, watered-down skincare products that didn't work on my or my sisters' skin after using for several months.

Again, we can only speak from our own experiences. You could basically get higher quality cosmetics and skincare products at your local corner drug store.

AVOID PURCHASING PRIVATE LABEL COSMETICS!!! Stick with the major brands' everyone is familiar with...

Also, my sister and I regretfully now avoid Aim Beauty / Aim Cosmetics "Custom Blended Mineral Makeup Powder" because it never comes out the right shade or color and is very dry and not silky like other brands. It also stained our clothing and would not wash out easily without paying for dry cleaning.

We will never buy ever again, especially due to us both being sensitive to some brands of cosmetic powders or makeup with fillers. My sister and I walked into the shop in Harlem a couple of times over the years and their staff was rude to us both times for no reason whatsoever. Maybe they were having a bad day it seems but not wise to take that out on customers.

Then after politely calling the employee out on her rudeness she then forced us to leave the store. My sister and I both have been makeup artists for over 65 years combined. Several years ago my sister and I were attending a family member's wedding and we both went to what was then Aim Cosmetics to get our makeup applied because we wanted to have someone else do our makeup done just to see their skill and we both left the store not looking good like we assumed we would look.

I asked for a smokey eye and looked like I got punched in the eye. My sister got a cat eye / smokey eye and the cat-eye looked decent but again the smokey eye looked like she got punched in the eye. Not saying they are bad makeup artists but the craft needs to be honed or maybe they were just having a bad day. Anyone can be a makeup artist for 100 years or 20 or whatever and STILL not know what they are doing.
