Agora Assemblies is a C-level event organizer. They sold my company(and many others) on sponsoring their event at a nice hotel in FL. In return we would get one on one meetings with high level executives. In short, the event was terribly run. The attendees were upset and many left early. The sponsors like us were upset as well. The event cost $20,000. After complaining, Justin Abramowitz(VP of Sales) agreed to refund half our investment, however, instead of refunding us, he used our credit card authorizations to charge us another $20,000. After months and months (6 months to be exact)of apologies and commitments to refund a portion of our original investment plus the second $20,000, I finally had to come to the conclusion that Agora is a highly unethical company run by highly unethical people. I had to report them to the New York DAs office to help myself and hopefully prevent others from major disappointment and financial loses.
BEWARE of doing business with Agora as you may end up dissatisfied and ripped off like me and my company.
This company is about as made up as Alice in Wonderland. I was fooled by the testomonials on the website until I did some research and found out that they were testomonials from a different company. I wanted to throw up after the CEO tried to explain that she had gotten the testomonials from her own list of clients. Agora has not even had any events yet so I asked her to explain and she hung up the phone later blaming it on bad service. It turns out that Megan Ann Shields (CEO) was actually fired from two similar companies in the past. Gds International fired her because of her constant drug use and poor performance rating. I was told by a former co-worker that she sold certain types of drugs (which I will not name) to employees. Then shortly after was fired by Millennium alliance for not showing up for an event that she was hosting. I just want to worn others of the lengths that this woman will go to get money from clients.
I am not a P.I. but it was very easy for me to obtain this information. They will tell you that the have many delegates that are interested in hearing about your company's service or product. Its all a lie. Just ask for references and you will see what I mean. Be well.
