INCOMPETENCE: Three times in the past 30 days Agoda has abruptly, non-chalantly cancelled my reservations, simply because I UPDATED my email address. I'm receiving email confirmations, they'll wait 14 days later and say "to avoid fraud, we need you to send us a SCANNED copy of the credit card" , then abruptly cancel an "already confirmed" reservation.
Booked a hotel recently and got an e-mail confirmation with the value I would pay but they charged my credit card with a wrong value. Tried to contact customer service and they said it was a bug and they don't want to give my money back... worst experience.
Stay away from this travel service provider , I booked a room through them on 11/4/18 for a stay 11/5/18 I drove from NY to NC when I arrived at the hotel I was told there was no rooms available because it was homecoming weekend I tried calling their customer service got only a recording telling me to send an email no way to speak to anyone, had to go to a truck stop to shower and change for a funeral paid almost $200 that night on a hotel milea away, If I don't get my money back I'll be filing papers .
I accidentally booked travel with Agoda. I had to cancel my reservation and I did so with the hotel. They subsequently told me they processed the refund to Agoda. I contacted Agoda via email as the toll free number would not go through.
When they got back to me they told me I did not cancel my booking in time to get a refund. I contacted the hotel and they let me know in writing that I had cancelled in time and they were refunding the money charged to my credit card to Agoda and to contact them. I did send them a copy and they got back to me that I had to contact Priceline which I did.
I got this back from Priceline, We are writing to you today regarding your reservation at the Hyatt Place Tampa Busch Gardens for Trip Number 15271562430. Please be informed that your concern has reached our Executive Offices. As we understand, you are contacting us regarding the refund that the hotel approved for this booking.
Your record was reviewed and found that you have been in contact with both the hotel and Agoda regarding this matter. Nonetheless, we have contacted the hotel directly and confirmed that they approved a full refund; thus, we have processed the same thing from our end. However, since this booking was booked on Reservations.com, they will be the one to post the refund back to your card.
We have already informed them about the credit; thus, they are just waiting for you to call them at 855-956-2201. Please select option 1, and you may need your trip number 15271562430 when calling. I called that number and got run around and they told me they could not in fact process the refund. So, this is a total rip off and I STRONGLY suggest you avoid using Agoda like the plaque as they will rip you off like they did with me.
Six months ago I made a reservation for my vacation in Europe using the services of Agoda.com. This was the first site I used to shop online shopping in my entire life. The experience at the time was fantastic.
After Agoda.com was sold, it seems that the quality dropped sharply (now part of the Priceline Group).
I received an email at the time of confirmation with the following highlighted message: "Your reservation is confirmed and complete." Neither was confirmed nor complete. I found out yesterday.
Just before nine days for my arrival at the hotel, they tried to debit my credit card that had been replaced by fraud. They made no notice in advance, that they would charge just now, and only sent an email saying they could not charge and I immediately had to solve the problem. Within 13 hours, in which I even didnĀ“t see this email, they simply cancel my reservation. There was no minimum time for me to do anything, considering that we are a 10-hour time zone difference.
After my complaint they just said the hotel was full and there was nothing to do. They did not offer me any alternative or suggestions of other options.Pitiable such a procedure.

Agoda.com booking confirmation voucher showing check in date on April 6, 2019 also
Sure Stay booking confirmation voucher showing check in date on April 6. 2019, for $95.92.
My last text message is don't change the dates, I will be staying longer in that area !!!.
When l showed up at the Hotel, the desk clerk could not find my confirmed reservation,
then asked for my full name, but mentioned Harrison and said it was for yesterday.
I went to another Hotel in Bakersfield CA. and paid an extra $114.00.
When I came home I spoke to the Hotel Manager and she said I will have to contact Agoda.
I contacted Agoda 4 times, at the end, the Agoda support experience group refuses Customer
reimbursement. Both Companies must coordinate all messages and have exactly the same
messages, all dates must match exactly. Looks like a lack of communication or misunderstanding
by the Staff. I am very upset at the ordeal and spend more time looking for another Hotel after
7:00 PM. I got kicked out. I didn't stay at their Hotel. Already prepaid and need reimbursement .
Sincerely, Upset Customer
I got rejected and didn't stay at the Hotel. I am upset!!!.
Desk Clerk was un-ethical, uncooperative and said if I want to stay I will have to pay again
$118.00
