Since 16 November 2016 I had an terrible internet connection. I reported. Nothing happened. Reported, nothing, reported, nothing and so forth and so forth. This connection equates to rougly R600 per month with line rental etc. This service was cancelled 26 December 2016. I had to pay for January also (Untill today, I dont even know why, must be fine print I guess).
Finally 18 January 2017 I lose my mind and get my line moved asap to Crystal Web (absolute heroes!!), so now we are at R1800 wasted for...indeed, nothing. Now i have moved my line and cancelled my service, these leeches email me today to tell me that I still owe R130 for the data package of Febuary, and since I am on debit order there is nothing I can do.
But I will tell all of you reading, my line was never at fault, and those genius employees at Afrihost always told me it was my line which was faulty. After moving to Crystal Web, a lady called Karen calls me and tells me my router is fried. I have not spent one cent at this stage, yet I received service which actually helped me. One day vs 90 days, just let the stats guide you.
So to all those searching for a reliable ISP, I'm not sure who is the best, but I'm certain that Afrihost will bite you and give you a seeping wound that just keeps on festering.
