After 8 months of placing an order, never receiving proactive communication about order delays, and then an ask for $100 for shipping despite their prominent marketing of free shipping. I paid it to get over the finish line, the item never arrived. When i inquired it was mysteriously "missing" then it suddenly arrived at my house completely damaged.

Upon requesting a full refund, including the shipping, they stated their accounting team would look into it, but that the shipping $100 was non-refundable. When i reviewed their policy on site thoroughly, and spoke with a manager named "Nancy" she I told her their policy does not state the shipping is non-refundable and her snarky reply was "well it doesn't state that it is refundable."

I told her they would make a claim to the shipper for the damaged item and be refunded for it, so they needed to refund me for it, but they refuse. They are profiting on the backs of shipping bad merchandise out to clients and i see claims of this all over the place now that I am looking for it.

Please if you get anything from this review, DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY! They are a scam of a company, and once you pay YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE THE PRODUCT! How theyare still able to operate a business online without being shut down is beyond me. Okay so my experience with this company began January 10th, 2021 when I placed an order for anew Spa Cover and was charged $345. At this time, I was assured a May Delivery date which wasfrustrating but understandable at the time due to Covid, so I assumed difficulty to obtain supplies.

Directly on their website it does state: Due to an overwhelming amount of orders, Expedited Orders are taking approximately 4 to 6 Weeksplease call us at 727-888-4561 for specifi c production time. Come May 18th I received an email stating that my order was "In Production". Now this got me excited, thinking it would be shipped out shortly after. Come August 30th, I contacted the companyas I received no correspondence since May? I was told that "In Production" does not literally mean itis in production but that my group of orders should be next up to be processed, or something alongthose lines.

The lady on the line also informed me that quote "Your order is expected to go from ourfacility around September 10th - 17th, if not sooner." Again, this date came and passed. It is now November and I contact the company again to seek anyupdates? Now I am told via email "Your order is expected to go out from our facility last week of November, if not sooner." "You will receive a tracking number" and so on. At this point I call themand attempt to get a refund processed as this is unacceptable for any business to continually delayshipment, with no apology, explanation, or means to make it right.

The lady on the phone whosename is Nancy L. (she wouldn't provide me a last name). She refused to ever allow me theopportunity to speak with anyone beside herself, no supervisor. She refused to process a refund viathe phone, stating that it had to be done in writing via email - no exceptions. Please be aware thereis also a $150 penalty for order cancellations after 24 hours - no exceptions. The lady refused to process my refund directly back to my card, I was informed the only method is mailing me a check. I would never trust cancelling my order and praying a check will magically arrive, considering thetrack record with this company.

After our phone call I immediately fi led a fraud report with my credit card company. I also filed acomplaint with the Better Business Bureau, #67503440. Please take a glance at this company on theBBB, you will see claim after claim stating the same thing as me. After several attempts the companymade no response back to BBB and BBB gave me suggestions on other agencies, I could contact todispute my claim. So, come December 3rd, I yet again contact this company for an order update and guess what?"Production has delayed your order to be out on the fi rst week of January due to the shortness of foam. - Nancy L." This was no surprise as each and every deadline comes and goes with a longerdelay in processing my order.

So, at this point I am in the process of pursuing civil action with thiscompany and want to pass along the message to ensure no one else has to be subjected to thefraudulent business practices of Aff ordable Spa Covers. Also File complaints with FTC #142550002 and FBI Fraud Department.

I wish I had researched or read the reviews online before I had ordered. I ordered a hot tub cover online and this company never contacted me or confirmed my order. I never received an email confirmation. They did not answer my emails or my phone calls. I googled the company and saw almost 300 complaints on the bbb and a number of complaints on Yelp.

I decided to dispute my charge (four weeks had passed and not even one email or call back from the messages I left). After I disputed my charge they sent me email. They refunded me but held a $150 processing fee for an order that was never processed and production was never started. The website is misleading because it only states a cancellation fee due to starting production.

My order was four weeks in prior to disputing and they had not started production. The website also states fastest turn around time and the order will only take two weeks. Some people's complaints on bbb and Yelp are still waiting for their cover after eight months. This company is a scam!

I ordered a Hot Tub Cover from this company on June 18, payment was taken immediately. I was told 2-3 weeks for it to be delivered.

It is now July 8 and I emailed them asking for an approximate delivery date so I could be home for it, and I was told it hasnt even been made yet, that they are 10 weeks out. I explained that I ordered from them because they stated 2-3 weeks. I could have ordered from my local store for a guarenteed delivery in 2-4 weeks. But this company was supposed to be quicker!

I told them since they were 10 weeks out that I would like to cancel my order since the cover hasn't been made yet, I was told I would have to pay a $150 cancellation fee! Even though it was a total bait and switch deal! Promise 2-3 weeks then maybe 10 weeks! They also said the 10 weeks is appoximate, it may be longer because of the Covid!!

I have filed a dispute with my Credit Card for a full refund! We will see what happens!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!

I ordered a spa cover for my spa from Affordable Spa covers on 7/15/19 via their online order system. I was told 2-3 weeks for delivery. As of 10/2/19 I have not received my cover, despite numerous calls to them to assertain where the cover is, they just say "It should be there on Saturday" Alex Florres (the owner) has not called to explain the delay.

I feel like I will never get my cover and that this company is fraudulent. They have not offered me any kind of apology, explanation, discount or refund for my troubles. Affordable Spa Covers is a Rip Off and should not be in business.
