Affordable-Health-Insurance-Plans.org Reviews
I was caught by a Google banner ad in my email from affordablehealthinsuranceplans.org that said "plans for $9 a month." It takes you to a page where you enter your zip code, then you fill out your name, phone number, and email address. After you do that all you get are other options to click on that take you to websites that do the same exact thing! I thought well that was a waste of tone I'm not going to another site to do the same thing over again so I just closed it out. I sure do wish I had read the privacy policy, and more so they need to make this point more clear before you proceed, because it says by agreement to the terms means you agree that your information be entered into a leads database and that you will receive phone calls from up to 8 insurance companies! I just did this today and have already had 50 missed calls! I finally started answering them and telling them to take me off their lists. So unless you want this to happen to you don't fall for their phoney gimmicks! I am also going to complain to Google for not doing better research on who they sell their banner ad space to and allowing predatory companies to advertise with them.
Horrible
I wish I could give less than 1 star. I put my information into the web site and the minute I hit submit, the calls started. I spoke with the first person, letting him know I have insurance but was looking to find out about insurance for when I take early retirement, he would not even let me finish. He kept telling me that I would be fined if I didn't have insurance. I hung up on him.
Second call, minutes later. She was horrible, made the first guy look like a gentleman. Yelled at me that I was going to be charged for not having insurance (again I told her I do have it) and started threatening me. I finally called her a few choice names and hung up on her.
The calls are continuing on. So I called the number they have on their site. I want to tell them to stop harassing me. That actually lead to a local company, who I informed of the behaviors I had experienced from Affordable Health Plans. org. I also let him know that since he was obviously, in some way, affiliated with them, I would never do business with him either.

Rude and Uneducated in products
So my mother sent me the link to affordable-health-insurance-plans.org to help me look for dental plans. I KNEW I should have researched them first.. I felt uncomfortable from step one asking for some basic information. Within seconds of clicking submit I get a phone call (at work). I was pissed. (I had gotten a few quotes yesterday and NEVER had a company be so presumptuous. Anyway.. after SEVERAL transfers I finally get to someone not “health” but Dental. She asks again for my DOB. Then says hold on while we submit and see what’s in your area. After what seemed like a long time (after yesterday’s successful inquiries)She came back on to tell me about the “plan”.. Giving monthly rate of $39.95 and a $75.00 enrollment fee to a PPO by DentaMax. So I asked what percentage of the dental costs did the insurance cover after seemed confused when all I said was OK to the cost. (Others gave the percentages right away). After asking and then insisting on the information SHE DID NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THAT. So I hung up. I am now fearful I will be getting tons of calls as the others on here have expressed.
I called this number (**********) listed on the "affordable-health-insurance-plans.org" website. I was calling to see about short term coverage between employment. The person who answered the call was very inappropriate offering advice about medical conditions my husband has, that was totally inaccurate. I don't know why I gave him my birthday and my husband's birthday. After which he initiated a very odd conversation about zodiac signs. I did not give an address or even my husband's name. The rep wanted to charge me $349 a month for an insurance plan he did not even give me details on. I asked what plan this was, even though I was sure this was not legit at this point. He stated that Obamacare would be much more expensive, especially since (my husband) and I weren't married. & since we were both healthy we just needed the basic plan, which is not the case. I had previously told him one of us has diabetes which requires insulin. He then started to look for another quote. I feel really stupid for giving him our birthdays but wanted to let people know to avoid this website. Even if they are not a scam (which I'm pretty sure they are), they are at the least very very unprofessional.
Like others who have reported this site, I wanted to compare health insurance rates. Within minutes of submitting the form, I started receiving illegal autobot calls. I got 10 calls from one number in less then an hour! Since then, I have had over 100 missed calls from about 15 different numbers! Every time I add one number to my straight to voicemail list, another number starts calling. My phone has been ringing almost non stop all day! I have never received these calls before. It's so bad that I had to put my number on the national do not call list.
DO NOT compare insurance plans with this company! I didnt' get any emails (which is what I was looking for), all I have gotten are tons of phone calls. A lot of the calls actually just hang up when I answer too. Ridiculous!
