I owed Riley (owner of Affordable Accounting Solutions) $9.75 for postage on the return of a ring she bought from me and returned. My family had just experienced the sudden death of a young family member and in my distress I did not catch a bank error in issuing a cashiers check for $975 instead of $9.75. The check was mailed to Amy Riley at Affordable Accounting Solutions, 115 N. School St., Ste. 3, Lodi CA 95240 and cashed by Amy anyway on May 9, 2018.
I discovered the error several weeks later while paying bills and contacted Amy on her cell phone (listed on Affordable Accounting Solutions website) on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 2pm. I explained the situation and that she had cashed the check anyway, knowing full well it was an error. Her reply was that she gets a lot of checks on her desk and just cashes them. She also said that she had a lot of family visiting this weekend for her daughter's graduation and couldn't look into it. I replied "OK" and I requested that she look into it on Monday (June 11th) and call me back that day...it was urgent.
She did not follow through and call me, nor has she responded to any of the multiple voice messages, texts, emails, or calls I have made to her requesting she refund the overpaid amount due me. She refuses to communicate with me in any way.
Her affordable accounting solution seems to be stealing and fraud. I am now forced to file a small claims case against her...adding undue stress during a period of loss and mourning.
Beware of this woman (owner of Affordable Accounting Solutions) and her dishonesty.
