To make a long story short. My husband and I hired Attorney Schucahrdt for our chapter 13 bankruptcy. Initially he seemed fairly decent and assured us he would take care of our concerns and things would be smooth. Needless to say 6 months later, it is anything short of a living nightmare. After our initial court date with the creditors it was like dealing with a Jekyl and Hyde. The fairly decent guy we met the first meeting was gone and this guy we were dealing with now did not care about our concerns or legal issues of creditors still harrasing us. He would not return our calls or letters and straight out avoided us in a more than obvious manner. On the extremely rare occasion we did speak to him he just sounded bored and annoyed to talk with us and BS-ed us around until he could get us out of his hair. He charges more than most attorneys and delivers nothing. Yes, I am upset as I write this. However, this has been going on for months and months. I would write the same review 6 months or 6 years from now. I do not see how this attorney is legally able to pratice law given his lack of compassion and blatent disreagrd for the law. We have a creditor that is clearly violating the automatic stay by threatneing and harrassing us and after several attempts and copies of letters from the creditor to our attorney still nothing has yet to be done. To say we are dissapointed with Mr. Schuchardt would be an extreme understatement. He has assured us he would take care of things that were supposed to be taken care of and has straight out lied about these things and has even gone as far to say that he did not say or make the promises that he did. His knowledge of the law is minimal given our fairly easy case. I can only assume this based on his actions throughout this whole process. Its either he's a total idiot or just doesn't care at all. Either way they are equally as bad and the biggest regret we have made so far. Don't make the same careless mistake we did!
