A friend said he wanted me to meet his boss man. He called him to my home. They looked at my roof and saw storm damage. He said he would contact state farm for an adjuster to come out. He met with the adjuster and the claim was approved. I was given a check and the two of them drove me to the bank to deposit it. They wanted money quickly but the check had a 10 day hold. When the hold was released he asked me for $200 on Friday from the atm. They drove me to the atm. On Monday they drove me back to the bank. I was given a receipt for $1500 instead of the original $1000 deposit. He had stopped in at ABC supply company in Winston Salem on the way to the bank. He said he needed all the money because he needed to pay for his current customers supplies. I purchased my supplies at Lowe's. The three of us arrived at the bank. They got coffee while I spoke to the teller. I wanted to get a cashiers check but he said it was too late in the day and he must get cash to his distributor. I felt pressured and uncomfortable but they insisted. I brought Joseph Smith the envelope with $1700. His trainee asked me to hold $100 of his commission. We rushed back to ABC supply company and he went inside again. His crew started on the ladies roof. He asked me to borrow 4 rolls of my roofing felt I purchased. I was uncomfortable but he showed up and took them. He was supposed to return replacements in an hour plus the rest of my shingles and nails. He didn't. I was told my roof was to be done Thursday but no one arrived. He said he did a roof in Greensboro instead. He came Saturday and said he was texting his crew boss, Jose but no one answered him. He left at 1:00 pm. I then called and texted him Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. He finally answered me and said I only gave him a $200 deposit and when I paid the rest of the money I would have a roof. I have lost $2000, felt for the roof and no roof.
