I needed a blower motor resistor and was quoted close to $150 for a part that’s generally &12-$20.. I ultimately bought the New part for a reputable dealer through Amazon.. It was literally the EXACT same part! Not just similar or close, it was Identical!! I’m not sure how many of their parts are extremely over priced . Nothing left to write, This report system won’t let me move forward with out adding more words.
Advance Auto Parts The store does not return your speed perks used on a purchase that they cancelled nor will they return speed perks you submit for a purchase that the online system says it accepted but did not apply to your bill at checkout.
They keep stealing the speed perks!
They offer gas rewards for Shell gas stations when there are no Shell gas stations nearby - not driving 200 miles to use gas points!
I have complained in person about this at multiple locations and no one cares to fix this problem!

This company is possibly the worst online auto store in the US. Their "return policy" says nothing about online orders specifically needing to be returned to a physical store, this is monster-sized corner clipping of widely accepted convention.
Yes, the convenience of an online purchase offered by probably 99.99% of online retailers, is null with this company. Instead, "a customer" is "required" to get into his car and drive potentially hours to a physical store — and who knows what thumbscrew antics happen there? I had to discover this only when calling to return. I say calling because all other "customer service" channels have seemingly been gamed to convenience Thomas Greco's operation, e.g. email can be sent, but results in a "we don't do email" response, causing delay, presumably in hopes of pushing you past the return time frame. With chat, someone responds within a few minutes to ask me to hold for 3-5 minutes, only to be auto-booted about two minutes later. Convenient, as this forces transactions to phone where documentation is nullified.
I am a “US NAVY VETERAN”. On November 1st, 2018, I needed to replace my Wiper Blades with New Wiper Blades for my 2013 Ford Escape Titanium. I first began my search online at the Advance Auto website, https://shop.advanceautoparts.com, for “28 inch Rain-X Latitude 2-n-1 Wiper Blades”. The price online for the “28 inch Rain-X Latitude 2-n-1 Wiper Blades” is $17.99. I went to Advance Auto Parts store #07787 in Rochester Pennsylvania, to purchase this item. In the store, they are $25.99, a difference of 44.5 %. Associate Tom began to do my purchase and needed Manager Jon S approval to lower the price. I waited for about 10 to 14 minutes with Associate Tom for this to occur while ManagerJon S. ignored me and took care of 3 other customers before attending to me. The Manager Jon S. did not want to lower the price. He reluctantly lowered the price when I informed him of the “Advance Auto Parts Price Match Guarantee” Policy, which states “[If the customer prefers to purchase the product in the store, Advance Team Members will match the online price.]” He then told me about an in-store special for a cheaper and lower quality inferior set of Blades. He made the comment with a very poor attitude, saying "You are going to pay more for the Rain-X brand". I almost always purchase the Rain-X brand. I also told him I needed the Wiper Blades installed, which is part of their "In-Store Services". I am a “US NAVY VETERAN” and I proudly wear my "US NAVY VETERAN" ballcap whenever I leave my house. Even after presenting my Veteran ID, he would not give me my Military Discount. His exact comment was "It is Double Dipping". I also have a $5.00 "Speed Perk" he never asked for my "Advance Auto Parts" loyalty card nor phone number and he would not apply it to my purchase.
I was treated by Manager Jon S. with without any respect at all during my visit. I have grown sick and tired of his condescending attitude, disrespect, and treating me like an Idiot EVERY time from Manager Jon whenever I shop at this store. On many occasions, if I see him in the store, I will turn around and go to "Auto Zxxx", which is about 225 yards away from Advance Auto, for better service!!!
Ordered and paid for several items online. Went to the local Advance Auto Parts store that was on my order within 1 week to pick up the items. They handed me the items and receipt. The last item on the list was a lawnmower air filter. I did not order that item and have no lawn mower. So I asked to return it.
The store associate tried to return it, but their system had no record of the purchase. He said that online and the store are two separate companies and I would have to call online customer service.
I was on hold for 20 minutes, then tried to leave my number and a message for a callback, but their msg mailbox was full.
The online site states that returns are allowed at the pick-up store within 45 days. How can I do that? Beware! I cannot be the only one with this problem.
On 5/31/2017 I get 2 gallons of antifreze to get a rebate of $5.00 per gallons I send the papers to the rebated peoples and today 6/26/2017 i get a not aproved notices this the second time that I get the same results THIS COMPANY ADVANCE AUTO PARTS IS A SCAM
