ADR Media Integrators LLC Reviews

  • Dec 9, 2017

This is one company I would urge people to never, ever let into your home. He came to me through the painter I hired ( and I will review him elsewhere!) who gets a percentage of what he charges. He was called in to bring up a line from the basement for my cable TV and computers and to activate a telephone jack on my first floor so that I could use my answering machine (I hate voicemail). He was also supposed to bring wiring to my bedroom for my TV and to activate a phone jack for a fax machine on the second floor.

He spent most of his time trying to talk me into wiring the whole house with Sonos.

I told him I was not interested in doing anything abut a sound system right now, but he kept pushing.

Supposedly his guy did over two days of work here before I moved in. The painter’s men were here to let him in. He claimed he ran a line for the TV to my bedroom, but I found out later it was the electrician who did that, as well as a couple of other things this guy took credit for, like the phone jack for the fax machine. Both of those lines, BTW, did not work and the cable company had to rectify the situation.

I moved in on a Thursday night, the movers arrived Friday and the boss from ADR came over on Saturday to mount the TV before the cable company arrived. He talked me into a new TV which he sent someone out to pick up and mounted it.

I was then charged 25% more for the TV than I could have picked it up for at any retail store. He insisted the price I could get it for was only a promotional price. Not true. It was readily available at every store, for the same price, and both before and after he purchased it.He bought a Samsung, put the one connect behind the TV on the wall, where Samsung says it does not belong, since it is there to attach other peripherals. Now I can not do that till I get someone to take the TV down and put the box where it belongs. He charged me for, and installed an IR, claiming the TV would not work without it. Of course it works without it. It was totally unnecessary and he never asked me about it or got my permission to purchase it. He also charged me a good more than I could have bought it for online, had I even needed it. He then billed me for the supposed two days of work which included hooking up my computers, my printers, setting up my Wifi, updating my software, hooking up two Rokus where I was not getting cable boxes, and hooking up the computers to the modem and router, and the TVs to the cable boxes.

Just one problem. There was no equipment in the house at all till after these guys were supposedly finished doing whatever work they claimed they were doing for those two days. There is no way they could have hooked up anything since nothing was here for them to hook up. The cable company set up my modem and router, and my computers picked up my network immediately, connected my TVs to the cable boxes. I did not even take my printers out of their cartons till two weeks after I moved in and the two Rokus were, and still are, in their sealed plastic packages. Therefore, ADR did not hook up my printers OR the Rokus.

I was charged thousands of dollars for work which was not done, and I don’t think I have ever dealt with a company which was as dishonest as this one. I ultimately paid him for the TV, at the price I could have bought it for retail, and some extra for work which they “may” have done, but I have never had someone claim to have done work which could not possibly have been done. and then charge thousands of dollars for it. The painter actually stuck up for this guy, but of course he is a friend of his. Needless to say, I won’t be using the painter again either. If he can cover for someone who charges for work not done, then he probably does the same himself ( and I have seen that he does), and I will cover that on another review.
