(THIS IS A LONG STORY BUT BEAR WITH ME, IT'S WORTH THE READ!) (Quick back story and important information:) I was given a prepaid Visa card around the holidays last year from my employer. I spent the majority of the money that was preloaded on the card. I believe I had between $5 and $10 left on the card when... I started researching alternatives to breast augmentation. I came across the website for a company called Adorna. Adorna offered a "free trial" for their breast enhancement cream with a 30 day money back guarantee. To qualify for the free trial all one would have to do is pay for the cost of shipping, in the amount of $2.97. Per the "fine print," "You must pay a shipping and handling fee of $2.97 for us to send you a month supply of Adorna, which will be charged to the credit or debit card you provide when you place your order. The 14 day's starts when the order is processed.

Reflecting our commitment to customer service, your product will ship via USPS within 24 hours and be delivered in 2 days after ordering so you can begin to enjoy the benefits of our products immediately. If you are not satisfied with our products, you can cancel before the end of the 14-day trial period (LIE) by calling our toll free number during the customer service hours listed below, and your credit card will not be charged further (LIE). If you are happy with our products, simply do nothing and your credit card will be charged for the remainder of the initial monthly supply at $89.99 after your trial is complete. You are also enrolled on a monthly membership to revieve product at the price of $89.99 plus $2.97 shipping and handling. You may cancel this memberhsip at anytime (ANOTHER LIE). Please read our terms and conditions for details. The total of $89.99 plus $2.97 shipping and handling comes out to $92.96..." I am not naive enough to believe that this product was actually going to work...... but... it was only $3 dollars so I figured I would try it. Maybe it would work...? Stranger things have happened, right? So, I completed the online form for the free trial and gave my credit card information to be charged the $2.97 for shipping. (I used the prepaid Visa card with the $5 - $10 balance that I mentioned at the very beginning of my report to make this transaction.) I received a text alert that the $2.97 had been subtracted from my account and so I waited for the product to arrive. After a week I called to cancel my free trial citing that I was unsatisfied with the results. The woman I spoke with at Adorna said that she would remove my information from the system and left the conversation on fairly good terms. No less than 30 minutes later I received a text alert that an attempt was made to withdraw $89.99 from my Visa card. I assumed that this must have been Adorna as they mentioned the cost of their product being $89.99. So I called Adorna back. I spoke with the same woman that I spoke to the first time I called. She explained to me that my account was "scheduled to have had the $89.99 fee automatically removed from it" that day but she "had not yet removed my information from the system" but assured me that it would all be taken care of. (Thank God that this was a prepaid Visa card with next to nothing left on it Kama otherwise adorna would have just charged my account $90 without my permission!) I reiterated the fact that I was canceling my trial. The woman said that she understood.... APPARENTLY NOT!!! 4 days later I was notified via text alert that an attempt had been made to withdraw another $89.99. 13 days later I was notified via text alert that two attempts had been made on the same day to withdraw $89.99. 9 days later I was notified via text alert that an attempt had been made to withdraw $44.99. (At this point I'm curious because nothing on the Adorna website costs $44.99. I wonder if my Visa card number was stolen somehow... but I don't take it THAT seriously because 1.) I had already cancelled my free trial with Adorna and 2.) there was no money on the prepaid Visa card to withdraw anyway.) 4 days later I was notified via text alert that an attempt had been made to withdraw $36.00. 4 days after that I was notified via text alert that an attempt had been made to withdraw $31.50. And 4 days after that I was notified yet again via text alert that another attempt had been made to withdraw money from my Visa card in the amount of $22.50. At this point, I started to get annoyed and I decided to call the Visa company and investigate as to who was attempting to make these charges. I assumed that the $89.99 charges had come from Adorna, but none of the other amounts of money corresponded with the cost of the product that Adorna offers so I was quite curious... Customer Service at Visa then notified me that ALL of the charges... $89.99, $22.50, $44.99, $36.00, etc... they had ALL come from ADORNA! I called Adorna once again... I wanted to know why the company was attempting to charge me miscellaneous amounts of money that do not correspond to the price of their product and why they were attempting to charge me for ANYTHING, AT ALL, after I had canceled my free trial not only once, but then called twice to confirm my cancellation after the first billing "mix up." The woman I spoke to was incredibly rude and extremely abrupt. She could not offer me any legitimate answers to my questions, nor could she justify the miscellaneous amounts of money that they had been attempting to charge me. She responded by saying " I don't know how much of the product you have left but you can just keep it!" and then proceeded to hang up on me. I HIGHLY advise anyone reading this complaint to NOT do business with Adorna. Again, as I mentioned earlier, I had this not been a prepaid Visa and was my actual debit or credit card, I can't even begin to imagine how much money this company would have continued to charge me not only for the cost of their products, but for miscellaneous amounts that don't correspond with anything, as well. This company is a SCAM and they will continue to charge your credit or debit card without your knowledge or consent just as soon as they have your card information. ....and P.S. their product doesn't even work.
