I was hired to create website content for aceDollar.com in June 2015 with an agreed-to completion date of 8/15/2015. I both wrote original content and edited content I received from the product designer, A. Szentivanyi. Terms of the contract included a 30% down payment (which I received at the project outset), with the remaining 60% of payment due at the conclusion of the project.
The project extended far, far beyond the estimated completion date. There were delays on both sides. Still, the project progressed, albeit slowly and I received positive feedback on my work. Despite really needing to wrap up the project and receive payment, I held on, resolute on receiving payment per the terms of the contract.
I had an uneasy feeling as completion dates for the project continued to slip and it became more and more difficult to receive responses from aceDollar. I felt as if Mr. Szentivanyl was trying to wear me down so I would drop pursuing payment. In December 2016, I sent an email to him to remind him that I held the copyright to the website content until I was paid in full. That is when he deleted my email address from the aceDollar site. I asked that I be paid by PayPal and he requested the email address to send payment and again -- nothing.
I wish Mr. Szentivanyl no ill. I only wish to receive payment for the substantial amount of work that I completed. Because of an urgent need to have sight-saving eye surgery, I need to resolve this situation **now**.
