Myself and several colleagues worked for Ace High Marketing during the rodeo this year (March 2020) promoting Coca Cola. We are very concerned because we have not received any feedback in regards to payment. What's even more frustrating is that now all phones are disconnected and we are not getting any of our emails answered. I reached out to you in the hopes that you can make light of this situation.
Did an event on 5/2 and 5/3 for the KY area. I had asked before how long it would take to be paid. In one email, from one of their reps, he did tell me it would take 6 weeks! Fine!
Then about 25 days later, I received an email from this agency saying to look out for paychecks between 6/10-6/24. Fine!
For the last possible day they could have sent it to me, it should have been the 24th.
Here is the weird part.
For all agencies I have worked with, I give them a leeway of about a day after the event to process and then two days for the mail to get to my address. If it was mailed on the 24th, I should have received it by Monday or today of this week.
From what the earlier recruiter had said, it would take 6 weeks and clearly, it is later than that. In fact, they sent a courteous email, which is great since other agencies, who pay this late, you never hear from them; however, this is still payment delay.
If an agency executive were to come across this post, I would want to see some changes made. 6 weeks is NOT an acceptable limit to withhold pay. At most, it should be 3 weeks and most businesses pay biweekly. Does the CEO wait 6 weeks to be paid? I, as a brand ambassador, make or sink an agency. Without me doing an event, they do not get the money at the top.
