I had a terrible experience at acceptance now in Plano Tx. I was charged $400 dollars for going 2 days over my 90 day period. They didn't gave me a copy of my contract and that my last payment was going to be on Oct. 15 I called on Oct 14 to pay it off and they told me that my 90 day was over and that I had a new balance that was 400 more that my previously balance was..... This people are thieves...... I don't recommend this place to anyone.... bad customer service rude management and the district manager never called me back.

What happen if

What happens if you do not continue making payments and you dont care about credit any more?

The debt will be higher and reported to credit, or will they go to pick up stuff?

Have someone go thru this?

Will they pick up the stuff or will they demand in court for no pyment and that set?

My mom went into Big Sandy Furniture to look at refrigerators. SHe ended up buying one through Acceptance NOW, which is a Finance company in which can loan but charge interest at a higher rate. My mom was 72 years old at the time and was told by the sales person that the payment would be 123.16 a month for 3 years. But did not explan that there were extra charges. The salesperson did not give her a paper copy of the contract but rather said hewould set her up an e-mail so that she could get her contract through the e-mail. well, this never happened. And when we received the first bill it was 152.00 and some change this was back in October of 2015. I worked out of town and was not able to get down to finance company without my mom to get this matter taken care of, because she had signed the contract they would not discuss with me ( daughter) even though I was paying payment. Until around December or so I finally got down and talked with Misty.

She then printed me up a contract and was right , they are now charging us 152.00 plus some change a month for this refrigerator. Now in excess of 15 months and a little over $2,432.00 later, meanwhile, according to them we still have over 1 1/2 years to pay, but because we are 2 weeks behind and they have called my house 3 times a day since 12/15/16 in which is the day the payment was due, started calling at 2:30. My mom had explained to them that she gets paid on the 3rd Wednesday of the month and that's what she has told them from the beginning. Anyways, regardless we are only two weeks behind as of today according to the 15th, but 9 days from the 21st. They sent a pick up truck to repossess the refrigerator at 6:30 p.m.on Friday 12/30/16. My son answered the door and the guy said he was here to pick up the refrigerator and he told the guy he was not getting in my house. The truck driver then called Acceptance Now and they told my son they were going to call the police and have them come to my house and that getting my mother out of bed was not an option. Really?? But immediately after, Acceptance Now called my house and I talked with them and told them that she had recently had a stroke and had fallen and severly hurt herself and they were going to get paid but it was not my priority. She then told me that she needed half the payment or they were taking the refrigerator. I was so mad I told them to come back and get the d**n thing tomorrow. We would gladly clean it out. But I don't feel that after paying that much money, I should have to return it that easily. They misguided my 73 year old mother into a contract that she did not understand or receive a copy of and then take advantage of people. What can I do ?

I purchased furnitute that was under 1300 dollars, I placed a down payment as well as made 7 payments to the account which total over 1700 dollars, I called customer service and asked what is my interest rate and she replied she could not tell me.

I said I am paying for somethign that cost under 1300 but you are making me pay a total of 4131.00 on a bed and dresser. That is predatory lending, and unfair price hike. I am just going to take it as a loss and return the furniture, I do not want to pay over 3000 for furniture that was not even being sold for that amount the price tag wasnt even 1500 yet i am being asked to pay 4131 dollars

HELLO!! PLEASE! PLEASE!! BE VERY AWARE OF ACCEPTANCE NOW A.K.A RENT-A-CENTER!! READ THE CONTRACT IN IT'S ENTIRETY!! DO NOT BECOME ANXIOUS TO PURCHASE THE FURNITURE!!! MAKE SURE YOU ARE HIGHLY AWARE OF THE LEASING FEES THEY PROFIT!! UNDERSTAND ACCEPTANCE NOW IS LOCATED INSIDE MAJORITY FURNITURE STORES!! HOW DO I BEGAN TO EXPLAIN THE EXPERIENCE I ENCOUNTER WITH THE LEASING REP. I WOULD LIKE TO EXPOSE HER NAME, BUT I RATHER NOT, DUE TO IDENTITY PROTECTION-WHATEVER! (SHE SHOULD BE EXPOSE) FIRST ALL, I WANT TO MAKE IT CLEAR, THIS IS NOT ABOUT BOB'S FURNITURE STORE. I MADE SEVERAL PURCHASES IN THE PAST AND RECENTLY. I WAS PLEASED WITH THE PRICING, DELIVERY, TAXES, THE OUTLET DISCOUNT DEPARTMENT, AND SALES REP.I WILL NOT LET ACCEPTANCE NOW DETER MYSELF FROM FUTURE PURCHASES AT BOB'S FURNITURE STORE.

TODAY 4-14-2018, I decided to purchase my father a new bedroom set for his birthday. I usually pay in full cash, but i decided this is also a great opportunity to improve my credit, I'm young improving my credit would also allow a future purchase of becoming a home owner. Anyway, this rep with a smile on her face, says to me-"YOU ARE APPROVED UP TO $2,500" "GO SHOP AROUND AND COME BACK TO ME TO SET UP YOUR MONTHLY PAYMENTS" (My total purchase was $1,610.14) The rep said- "OKAY LETS GET YOUR MONTHLY PAYMENTS, SIGN THESE PAPERWORK, YOU WILL BE ALL DONE AND GOOD TO GO"-WRONG! I'M NOT SIGNING ANYTHING UNTIL I HAVE THE FULL COMPREHENSION COMPASS CAPABILITY, TO UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM PAYING ACCEPTANCE NOW (OVER PRICED LEASING FEES). BASICALLY, SHE TRIED TO TALK FAST, AND RUSH ME TO SIGN. INSTEAD, I HAD HER GO OVER EVERYTHING UNTIL I REALIZE THIS IS A SET-UP! My monthly payments would had been $238.48, if i did the 90 days pay option, I had to make the full payment on the last date of $1,110.12.( PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY AM I PAYING MORE?) So, I decide to go back on the furniture floor and pick out an lower bedroom set price, in thinking that would help-WRONG!

NOW, my purchase is $711.00, and she thought once again -okay lets sign and go-WRONG! I wanted her to go over the paperwork again, and that's the second point of my complaint. Let me give you an visual, it was past her time, the staff had left, the phone is ringing, and a customer just walked in. The BOB'S FURNITURE SECTION IS STILL OPEN, BUT ACCEPTANCE CORNER SECTION AREA CLOSE EARLY, AND SHE WAS FRUSTRATED!SHE SAID-"ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW?" ARE YOU TOYING WITH ME?" I HAVE BEEN OVER THIS PAPERWORK WITH YOU 5 TIMES!" "IF YOU THINK I'M ABOUT TO GO OVER IT 55,000 TIMES WITH YOU-YOU ARE WRONG!!" SHE WENT ON TO SAY-"YOU DON'T SEE THAT YOUNG LADY WAITING AND YOU KNOW I HAVE A PHONE CALL TO RETURNED." WOW!! I DIDN'T KNOW RATHER TO SMACK THE SH* OUT HER, SCREAM IN HER FACE OR CRY. MY EMOTION WAS RAMP UP, SHE ATTACK MY CHARACTER AND MY SELF-ESTEEM. I said you are rude, you don't know my educational level or comprehension level to understand contract language term.

I went on to say- I could be illiterate, and you judging me base off your encounter with other individual customers. Her reply-"NO! YOU AIN'T ILLITERATE AND I DON'T BELIEVE THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME-WHATEVER!!!" I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS" I'M CANCELLING YOUR CONTRACT, BECAUSE I DON'T THINK ANYBODY CAN HELP YOU"( WITH AN CHUCKLE) I said are you calling me DUMB!!?? HER RESPONSE-" YOU CALLED YOURSELF ILLITERATE NOT ME" YES, I AM ILLITERATE WHEN IT INVOLVES CONTRACT LANGUAGE AND FINE PRINTS, BECAUSE I AM EDUCATED ENOUGH TO UNDERSTAND, BE CAREFULLY IN ANYTHING YOU SIGN YOUR NAME ON. THINK ABOUT IT FOR A SECOND... THIS COULD HAVE BEEN YOUR SON, DAUGHTER OR WHOMEVER YOU CARE ABOUT, GOING OUT ON THEIR OWN TO IMPROVE THEIR CREDIT AND MAKE PURCHASES AT THE SAME TIME. WOULD YOU FEEL PLEASED OR SATISFIED IN KNOWING A LEASING REP OR ANYBODY-VERBALLY DEGRADED, BELITTLE, AND MINIMIZE THE DIGNITY AND CHARACTER OF THAT INDIVIDUAL? ENCLOSING, I COUNT IT ALL JOY, BECAUSE HER ATTITUDE AND IMPATIENT ALLOWED MYSELF TO DODGE A BAD DEAL. TAKE TIME READING THE REVIEWS COMPLAINTS OF INDIVIDUAL WHO ARE DISTRAUGHT AND AGITATED. THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ MY EXPERIENCE. I'M PRAYING THAT IT WOULD HELP SOMEONE.

I bought Furniture at Bobs Furniture and they told me that I didn't have a good enough credit to get a Bob furniture credit approval but they had Acceptance Now that can help me with the new Furniture Purchase.

They told me if I pay the Furniture off before three months that i would be charged only a certain percentage and so on . They showed me a payment system and it looked way to high more then a credit card. Bobs furniture made a mistake and charged me for 2 beds instead of one like I bought.

When I got the delivery is when I realized the mistake. So they took back one of the beds and had to redo the contract.

I made a initial payment of 580 dollars for the deliver and what was suppose to be the over amount that the Acceptance now did not cover for the Bed i did not buy. I told them that how long was the contract going to take and that I don't want it going past the three month they said i can pay the furniture off. well it took then about that long to fix the contract and the first payment now was over the 3 months deal so i asked them what was the payment to buy the furniture . they said 1500 which was the entire value of the furniture I bought.

I complained that I already made a payment actually two and the payments was the amount of the payment of the first contract which is about 189 dollars and the new contract said my payments where suppose to be 93 dollars a month with the new contract. i told them there is a mistake somewhere and that i wanted to see if the payment I made to the first contract where being credit to the new contract because there is not way that after i paid 890 dollars which 185 was for the delivery which again I was being charged for two beds when it was only suppose to be one but that was on bobs side .. that what I owed for the bed I bought could still be 1500 which is the purchased price.

I asked them to show me where my money went and that's when they started to delay any information. I stopped making payments about after the 4 payment until they tell me what the pay off of the furniture was and show me where my money went. It has been almost 9 months now and they have not sent me any information up to this point. There is no way I could owe 1500 dollar after paying 890 for the furniture . I looked up complaints on acceptance now and saw the incredible amount of complaints that Company has. They are doing something illegal and no one has stopped them. I will not make another payment and hire an attorney and file suit for the attorney fees and try to get someone to stop this kind of crime from continuing. My payments where suppose to be 93 dollars and I never made that payment they wanted 174 or more ..

I purchased furniture 8 months ago that costed $1,346.00. I put down $213.46 + $60 for furniture delivery (we were sleeping on the floor and the furniture was delivered 6 weeks later). My monthly payments are $184.00 every month. It was never explained to me that I was "renting" furniture. I didn't qualify for Ashley Furniture credit so they said they had another credit option with an onsite company who would help re-build your credit. I was desperate for furniture and thought it was a blessing.

Today, after making my 7th payment, I contacted the store to pay off the balance. To my surprise, the payoff is $1,318.00! I went and found the original paperwork (I know this is completely irresponsible of me but it's what just happened), and see that every with each month's payment, my balance goes down about $12.00. After the 3rd month, the payoff went up to $1,389.00 and started going down from there. The terms I discussed with the sales person were for 12 months. I am on a 28 month contract paying $184.00 each month which will total $4,343.92 if I continue to pay! If I stop paying, I will lost the furniture that I've already paid $1,600. for even though it only costed $1,346 to begin with!

I said to the lady on the phone, "so if I pay it off today, it will be as if I haven't already paid over $1,000 for the furniture," she said, "exactly."

Before I go pay doulble the cost to avoid losing my furniture, or avoid paying quadruple for it, please confirm for me, isn't this form of predatory lending illegal?

My wife passed away and part of financing was for Benefits Plus. It states that if a person on agreement dies they waive the rest of payments. All paperwork was submitted along with Death Certificate and they denied claim. I believe their booklet of Benefits is fraudulent if they state in it that they will waive payments and then deny it. How can they deny it when they have the Death Certificate? My wife died of natural causes and was only 59. She was on the agreement also which FFO sent them copy of. I'm dealing with the loss of my wife and theses people are screwing me over. I think they need to be made to honor their obligation or be sued.

I purchased 2 mattresses and a mechanical remote bed frame. I've open the account October 20-6. My payments are $174.76 a month. So I've already paid a total of $1922.36 but the total sales price was only $1372.00 and I'm very angry for the last 5 months I've asked them for my pay off amount and they tell me $1107 every month and I'm giving them$174.76 a month and pay off the same for last 5 months. I ask them to explain they tell me if I don't pay it in full they take the payment and pay it to interest. Ask about interest they said it's 33% but yet they take 100% and pay interest. These are some crooks, they never told me this when I was purchasing my things. Someone needs to shut them down and start a class action suit. I've given them $1922.36 already and the product I have isn't worth that amount and they tell me I still owe $1107.00. Please help I've read the complaints and it's not just me they are scam it's all over where ever there's an AccepyNow. These theives must be stopped now.

One year ago I bought a washer/dryer thru acceptance now contacted the store to see when last payment is found out

instead of fiance to purchase they set me up on a lease purchase plan that I did not know about.I walked in Conn's plus

to buy this set and after paying 1900.00 for the set that was only 1100.00 they telling me I do not own it .They say I would

have to give them 1900.00 more to own it.What a scam after reporting them to several agencies the manager contacts me to

say he cam take 400.00 off the 1900.00 bal but I refuse to give these people another dime they wand to come and get the

set and I still have to buy another set. These companies should not be allowed by law to take advantage of the elderly.and

how could Conn's allow another company to rip off their customers,I guess they didn't care because they got paid from the

beginning but never again.I refuse to stay silent about this I may not have my set but it will certainly help the next guy.

My Fiancé and I, originally went thru Bob Mills for the dining room table and we used Acceptance now, no issues, we were offered 90 same as cash. Everything went perfectly. Then we went to Mathis Brothers for 2 bedroom sets and originally were told if we paid it off with in 90 days it would be cheaper. Not true! Our payments do not go towards the balance being that we are now in our 6 month and our balance has maybe gone down maybe 200, my payments are 165 monthly. We spoke if several ladies who told us several different things. I just don't understand how RAC can be apart of this but if I was to go thru RAC they offer 90 days same as cash. Mind boggling! Do NOT deal with this company inside of Mathis Brothers!!!!!

I purchased furniture a year ago but due to some unforeseen confusion with pricing i had to put the couch on installment if i wanted to be fully furnished that day. They gave me the 90 day window to pay as cash and I meant to but more unforeseen issues prevented that.

Around the 4th month I was finally prepared to but they said I'd owe some ridiculous amount so I decided to keep it for a few more months, make payments, then return it. Ended up keeping this couch for almost a year at which point I was advised I still owe $1700 on it. I wasn't upset because I essentially knew that from jump so I wasn't upset but instead of moving it I decided I just wanted them to pick it up. Someone called me to collect payment (as they always do per my request so that I don't forget - friendly and accommodating as can be) I advised them that I needed the pick up.

She told me it was not a problem, she'd add me to the schedule and they'd call me back in 3 business days to confirm. This was about 30 days to move out date (which is how long of a notice i was told in May I'd have to give)... A week went by, nothing. I made some calls and left various voice messages to no avail.

Finally after about two weeks I spoke to a rep at the Savannah store Deja who told me she'd send my request but couldn't provide me with a date but would have someone call me back.. She, btw, had a dude that I was upset about still not having received a date even though at this point I had about two weeks to accommodate the pick up (while still considering the fact that I have to go to work in the mean time and am transferring with my company therefore cannot jeopardize that). Anyway, so at this point, I call customer service. They're really nice.

They call Deja at the Savannah location and she tells them I have to wait until Saturday to get a scheduled date - I first of all wanted to know why she couldn't just give me the same answer (but then she had the audacity to get an attitude when I had gotten upset?) Customer Service also called the area manager. On Monday at 1 I received a call from her, but because I was at work asked her what her call back number was and advised her I'd need to call her back. She said that was fine and the number was the one that had appeared on my caller ID. So I called back at 3 o'clock.

Phone rang and rang. Again at 4, same thing, again at 5, same thing. So the next day I called Customer service again and they advised me the area manager was driving and would call me back within 2 hours. 3 hours later, nothing.

I called the number she originally told me to call, and again nothing. So I called customer service AGAIN and they contacted her and she finally had a discussion with me that resulted in nothing but her saying she'd have to follow up with the scheduling team and let me know within 24 hours. Well 26 hours later brings us to NOW and still nothing. Customer service said they could reach out to the director (above the area manager) but would have to give them 48 hours to respond.

The Area Manager did not respond when they reached out today. And when I called Deja again today she was no help what so ever, she said she gave LeAnn my info call me. I asked her why she hadn't followed up with me herself since the schedule came out Saturday (it's wednesday) and she said she doesn't work there. I asked her if she could pull the schedule to let me know and she said no, she didn't know where it was.

I asked her if she could call or text Leann to ask where it was and she said, no but she could leave her a note. MIND YOU, I move out on next Wednesday, and work every day through then. I asked her what would happen if i just leave their furniture on the street since I do not have the resources to move it cross state. She said I'd default and am responsible until they pick it up.

What a joke.Don't do business with them..

Acceptance Now which I did not know was a subsidiary of Rent A Center they dont tell you imposed outragous interest fees they dont really disclose to you they just keep saying that you have 90 days to payoff without interest. If you dont pay off by your 90 days then you receive interesr and they give you some kinda payment schedule which is confusing. I asked the interest rate again they dont disclose that just show this payment schedule. The kicker is my total furniture bill which included the service plan was around $2,600 total. I was only approved for $ 1.800 so I had to pay balance in cash. However, with my down payments and all my monthly bill ran about $213 which included some third party benefits club which you have to include in the financing and of course they tell you no different. I call try to use benefits out the plan and everyone tells me this plan doesnt include these benefits ie road side assistance. When I go back to make my payment I ask them to take this crap "Benefis Plus" out my plan. So my payment only adjusted about $14 to $15....really $13 and change because I believe they taxed that. Now my payments about $199. I've been paying on a balance if approximately $2,200 to $2,300 since I believe October and come June my total payoff is still $2,213. Im like OMG A few months before this of course where is all my money going if I pay 199 that exclduses the benefits plan and about $27 is app,ied to my principle (after they give me new balance) where and what does the other $172 go towards? I got some lame excuse about it cost the company lots of money to offer us financing and expenses). So you take 86% of my payment for yourselves and call it helping build my credit and then you put on my credit report the total amount (3times the total sale) over $6,000 to show Im indebted to you for this if I continue to pay on monthly basis, giving me a high debt ratio. This is not helping consumers, this is sabotage and taking advantage of people with fair or nit so goid situations credit wise. I now believe the furniture stores finance office's (if really exist) applications are being turned down just so consumers can be referred to Acceptance Now which is just a Rent A Center. I do believe this is a sabotage and rip off to consumers and their rights.

I am a victim of the Acceptance Now Ripp off. Shame on Bobs furniture for allowing them to do business in his stores disguising their fees and loading the cost of the furniture by 300%. The sales women explains mandatory fees in her very well rehearsed "terms". You quickly sign an ipad tablet and do not get to see the paperwork until weeks later. Why am I playing a monthly "optional but mandatory" club membership fees that gives me medical coverages? Isn't this Bobs Furniture? He's handing out medical clubs perks hidden in membership fees? Too Many fees to list. Like the other report, I couldn't get an answer to nothing! Come fo find out it's Ren't A Center which I do not have an agreement with. I demanded credits for my account...see, I have a medical insurance plan...I didn't go to bobs for an exam or scrpit. These people kept giving me numerous people to call & no one could help me. During my discrepancy, this Scam Company had the audacity to report me 30 days late! I already paid twice for the retail cost of the furniture & now my credit score went down for this companies scam! I called and finally got a manager on the line & he told me he was faxing over a bulletin to remove the credit reporting to good standing..which hasn't happened yet. So I'm let w a ding on my credit report from Rent a center because i refused to pay a club membership that isn't mandatory & should be illegal to tell people they must par take in. BOB FURNATURE.....SHAME ON YOU!! Acceptance now/RAC you should be prosecuted!

We purchased our furniture at value city furniture in harrisburg. Just like most of the country we had to finance our furniture. We never knew there was a correlation to rent a center until we registered the account online. When we purchased the furniture we were told there was a special and the time to purchase was longer than the normal 90 days. When I called within the 90 days to find out the pay off balance we were told that whomever told us it was extended past the 90 days was false and that we only had about 8 days to pay off the balance. Since we weren't able to do that we just continued to pay 179 dollars since December. I called about 6 weeks ago amd was given a payoff balance of a little over 1100 dollars. I just called and actually spoke to the manager who stated that the payoff amount was almost 1600 dollars. The original amount financed was about 1500 dollars. So we paid around 1000 dollars so far and the amount went up. When I questioned her about it and asked if she could see who accessed my account to know who had given me the information she actually laughed and said oh they probably quit by now. How as a consumer can I protect myself from being scammed. I told her that I would be calling every month to get a balance and that I was very uneasy that the amount is going up not down. She was not able to give me any good answer but I can tell u I will not keep paying on a balance that it going up and not down. If I wanted to goto rent a center at least I would have an idea how long I would have to pay. I won't continue to pay blindly. I would like a print out of the payments that are due and see the amount owed decreasing. I will not make another payment until this is supplied to me. Don't not make the mistake of going to this company you be left paying and paying and havinhaving really no proof of what you actually owe the company.

Good day, I am writing to receive some support and to get this issue resolved. I have purchased furniture from Bob's Discount Furniture back I. July 2015. Since I have never missed a payment late at times yes. I have received calls from Acceptance Now everyday on my job, on my cellphone even if I have given them a date of when I will make the payment. I have kept up my payments even when I was out on medical leave for 6 months and not receiving a paycheck from work. During that time I have had two people come to my home to pick up the furniture even though I have made a payment. Causing embarrassment to my neighbors. Today I spoke to a representative my payment was due on the 15th and stated that I would make the payment on March 2nd when I get paid again. She told me she will have to call me every day until then. I asked her not to call me and do not call me at my work. She told she would if I did not pick up the phone. I asked how many payments I had left because 2 months ago o asked and the representative told me at that time 4 payment once I make that payment. Today this representative told me 5.8 I asked what is the .8 she said in an unsur tone 5 months and 8 days but she just rounds it up to 6 months. I stated 8 days is not a month.

IM SO MAD THIS SO UNBELIEVABLE ACCEPTANCE NOW!ITS A FRAUD ITS LIKE I'M NEVER GOING TO PAY THIS FURNITURE ! I'M THINKING ABOUT GIVING THIS FURNITURE BACK BECAUSE MY BALANCE CONTINUES TO FLUCTUATE AND MY LEASE PAYMENTS ARE EXTREMELY HIGH!THEY LIE TO YOU AND MAKE ALL KIND OF EXCUSES.I'M JUST SICK AND TIRED OF THEM.....THE WORST COMPANY EVER!I SHOULD HAVE WAITED AND PAID CASH FOR FURNITURE INSTEAD OF PAYING FOR THEIR OVER PRICED FURNITURE....WHAT A BIG RIP OFF!!I WOULD NEVER REFER ANYONE TO THIS COMPANY. I Financed $1099 that have to be pay off in 3 month they said no interest or nothing BUT bulshit after 3 months regardless what you had paid off they doble everything!!!for less than $200 that I owned them to finally pay my furniture off they add $1,100 more of what I already paid which was $200x5 $1000 just because I pass the 3 month regardless I dO want to pay off the rest which was $187 they didn't let me but add 1,100 to my account It's unbelievable, they don't what you to pay it off NEVER AGAIN WILL THEY RIP ME OFF!

  • Nov 22, 2016

Next step...

What happens if you do not continue making payments? The debt will be higher and reported to credit, or will they go to pick up stuff?

Have someone go thru this?

Will they pick up the stuff or will they demand in court for no pyment and that set?

To Whom it May Concern:

On March 2014, I went into Conn's to see if we would find a refrigerator, at this time an individual approach us and recommende us to Acceptance now, that it would be better for us to go with Acceptance now, and we work on a deal that was 3 months financing with no interest. Ok, so we did, I started with making two payment of $250.00 a total of $500.00 was giving, with the remainder balance of $450.00 was left. On the final day of pay-off I tried calling the store at 8:45pm and didn't get and answer but left a massage regarding the final payment. after 5 minutes called again no answer left second massage.

then another 5 minutes I called the 1-800 number they told me to called in case of emergercy still no answeer, but left a massage, I called this 1-800 number several times no answer. after 9:15pm I started giving up, but I continue calling the main store number 575-522-3598 and the 1-800 number still no answer. So I have giving up after several attempts. The next day I called and spoke to a sale representor and explain to him the situation after I left several massages.

So at this time He garanteed me a call back, when he investigate to see what was going on. So he did and told me that they did listen to the massages I had left them but could do nothing about it, that I had to pay the whole amount of the cost whitch at this time is $2,400.00 I told them that this was very umprofessional. that they couldn"t do this to me, this wasn't fair. So any way my final pay-off is $450.00, but I figured that I have already giving $500.00 in my calculation were even know. thank you a have a nice thankgiving.

My husband and I went looking for a couch. We went to Rooms To Go Outlet in Norcross GA. Found the couch we wanted and it happened to be marked down to $730. So we got approved for credit but put down $230. We were going to finance the remaining $500. We were told we could pay this off within 90 days and it would be intetest free. Cool. No problem. Flash forward, I call the crooks ACCEPTANCE NOW to make payment number 3 and I informed the rep I wanted to closet this out.

It was then she told me I still had a balance......a very large one. My $500 had turned into $2000!!!! They had the nerve to tell me because that was what we were approved for, that is what we would be paying to close this account with them! I was stunned! Then threatened to ruin our credit if we didn't pay!?!? What happened that i missed???!!! They are a terrible and despicable company. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to this group of liars!

Acceptance Now located in the Rooms to Go outlet in Norcross Georgia are Crooks and are very unprofessional.

They will lie to you about the due date to pay items off within 90 days, yet, the paper states a totally different date.

They do this so you can pay the interest rate that will accrue during this time.

The female manager is very unprofessional and appears as though her lack of understanding in a a 1st grade level.

Do no patronize the Acceptance Now for your needs. Save yourself the hardache.

Cheats

I was being charged a additional fee something I didn't sign up for. Called the 1-800 number they said they cant do anything and i had to call The manager at the store. Called and he said I wont be charged moving forward. I was charged again a extra fee. Then I called the 1-800 number again they gave me a complain number and said the DM will call me no one called. Then some cheap woman from Bob's Furniture (Falls Chruch, VA) who works for Accepatnce now called and acted like a moron. I told her my situation. She started to argue I told her come get your stuff. I will not pay for something I didn't sign up for. Called the 1-800 number again and the person said the DM had informed them to take off the additional charge but the store didn't. These people are cheats and frauds someone must hold them accountable for their devious methods of business.

well on memorial day 2016 i went in to purchase a full bedroom set and found out i liked i had applied online prior to visiting the lexington vcf so i knew what i could afford to purchase. We filled out all the paperwork was informed of the great holiday promotion with x amount down great since i'm trying to rebuild our credit. When all paperwork was filed and pmt was made it was at my understanding a pmt. I do understand my pmts are due in x day i'm not stupid however... When trying to login to my account i've not been able to i've called 4 times now and every time i tell the people i can't get into my account ... Well after my call yesterday i am one possed customer...I had called prior to my deliver and spoke with nicole and she said she was sorry it was her fault the pmt i made the date of purchase shouldn't of been made due to the promotion i said oh ok chuckled and she said she'd get with her mgr and disuse credit to my bill no one called back i have 3 children ages 6 7 and a 10 mth old i have my hands full so time for away from me to call again.. I had a voice mail from chris which i assumed was the call finally about the amount for me to pay but when i called back i got scott and boy who ever hired this guy for custer service really needs to monitor him a while... I get being steed and taking control or situations i've been a manager for 5 years i also did customer service at a call center for 14 and he has to get his attitude toward customer under control... As i stated to each person the out isn't the issue its the amount... So they come today to get my bedroom furniture i said no your not they informed me they were going to involve the law i said go ahead... Called into the store for nicole bless her heart she played dumb like she didn't know what to do... Kept telling me she didn't know if she could reach her district mgr He was in store) she tried to cover her ass best she could i kept asking her so you don't want my business???!! she never once said yes we want your business no one did... She then gets off the call ton"try" reach scott the district mgr who i had flipped out on yesterday... I called back and low and behold guess who answers the phone scott... Tried to talk to me like i was dumb said things like if we're gonna continue this relationship and said i threatened him yesterday i did no such thing... Today is my husbands birthday so rather than ruin his day i agreed to make a full out but now after all his i'm being charged a late fee i laughed and said ok... But i'm only keeping this bed til i find another i like then they can have it back... The people i felt with at lexington value city acceptance now. Are very rude... The date of purchase nichole was nice but after that the phone dealings with the employees are piss poor... It's a shame too because i really liked this bedroom suite...

So last July we had family coming into town and needed to purchase a TV for the spare bedroom. We were short on cash and wanted to see if we could finance the TV.

We called Conns and spoke to a salesman at the store and he took an application over the phone and told me I was approved for a small loan to finance a TV.

I went over to Conns and selected a TV.

I work in finance as a mortgage loan officer and this is where I feel very stupid and embarresed.

I assumed that based on what I was being told that I was buying a TV and that the TV I was purchasing with a loan was not a rent to own. In fact if anyone had even mentioned to me that this was a rent to own I would have never ever had signed up for this.

Anyways...I signed the paperwork and buy the TV. Take it home and set it up in the spare room.

A month later I go into Conns and try to make a payment for $250 and the girl says she can not figure out how to make accept a payment over the minimum amount. She is fumblling around and I tell her I need to leave and to just take the min payment.

I was assuming the girl was just new and not sure how to work the system they use for processing payment.

Over the next few months I make the payment and if I am one day late on my payment they start calling. Normally I just make the payment and think nothing of it.

However about 3 months ago I was a week late and they had been calling me relentlessly. Yes I know what they were callling about and yes I shoulld have answered....However my freaking life does not revolve around my TV payment. Again, my mistake, I assumed that I had a grace period.

So about 4 or 5 days after my payment is due some huge biker type guy shows up at my door at 3pm at night. WTF?

I call up and make the payment but also tell the manager that this is over the top behavior.

Fast forward to this month.

The first was llast Tuesday and I have been slammed at work. I am 6 days late on making my payment and they have been blowing up my phone. Yes, again I should have answered or called back but again...My life does not revolve around the TV payment. I have never been more than a week late and it just does not seem like the crime of the century to be 6 days past due on the TV payment.

At about 7 some squirly looking ding dong shows up on my doorstep banging on my door.

I blow up and tell him his company needs to stop. He responds to me that the company views me as being irresponsible.

It is all I can do to keep my composure. I literally order him off my property. He is still chattering away trying to provoke an argument.

I call the Conns store and leave a message to call back.

Finally I get online and do some research and on sites such as this one there are hundreds of storys about being conned into a rent to own via this company.

Finally I get a call back and ask the lady to be honest with me and what did I get myself into.

She tells me its a rent to own and I owe them $2500 if I continue on with the plan but I can buy out for $1000.

I congratulate her on conning me and also let her know that nobody ever stated that this was a Rent To Own product. She tells me that yes sometimes the sales people neglect to tell the customer becasue they want to make a sale. Too bad so sad I guess.

At this point I have no idea what I am going to do. I have spent almost a 1000 on this TV at this point and thought I was close to being paid off.

In all fairness I blame myself. I should have known better and should have read the fine print. I made the error in trusting that Conns which is a large electronics store would not practice this type of business but again...I screwed up in not reading the fine print and that is all these people needed to worm into my checkbook and take me for a ton of money.

I am in lending and I know when I close a mortgage loan for a client I have to be completely transparent in my dealings and I can say that Acceptance Now and Conn's are as Shady and Slimy as an organization as I have ever seen.

Incidently I told the lady if they ever send someone to my house again and is as insulting as this guy was I would call the police and file a harrasment charge against their company.

Stay away from these people. They are a unscrupolous and dishonest.

The financing company, AcceptanceNow, that Marlo chooses to use to lure people to purchase furniture with no credit check is a sham! All I want to do is pay my account off in 90 days, instead I receive a different balance that does not add up with the payments I have made every time I call and speak with representative who is rude and nasty. It is almost as if they want to scam you into making the wrong payment amount so that you default on the 90 days same as cash and end up paying the higher amount with the insane interest for 36 months. That is a HORRIBLE way to try and take advantage of people. I would suggest to Marlo that if they want to keep their customers and bring in new ones, they review the

relationship they have with AcceptanceNow and see how they are conducting shady business right there in their stores. The person who initially approved me was kind and helpful. I have not talked to him since and am uncertain if he even still works for the company. Instead I am dealing with a woman who speaks too fast and addresses me as if asking about the money I need to pay is a question I should not be asking. It doesn't get any better with her management. They make the terms of the agreement so confusing that they can't even keep their responses consistent when you ask questions regarding your account and balance. The customer service department is a joke as they don't have access to your payment information and it begs the questions, how are you useful?

I wasnt able to make my payment on my furniture, so i had called rooms to go to let them know they needed to pick up the furniture, the first time i had given them a time and date, and turned out they were two hours late, and i wasnt home. the following week i advised them that the had to be on time sharp! they showed up on time, picked up the furniture, and i called and asked, will this go on my credit and they said no...turns out, they lied. they put on my credit that i was late paying even though i told them to come and get the furniture!! i called just yesterday to speak with someone, and they said they would get back within 24 hours, didnt happen. so now i have to call on that. if you can, do not ever EVER deal with these people, or Rooms To Go. their customer service sucks! their furniture is waaay cheap, and they take forever to do a warranty claim. i mean months and months to get any resolution.
