I purchased a 5 burner gas cooktop on 10/31/17. The stove was professionally installed in late December after completing a kitchen remodel. We had this exact stove in our last two homes and really liked it so I was happy to find it on ABT.com. After using a handful of times the one burner caught fire for no apparent reason. Thankfully we were standing nearby. I would chaulk it up to user error but we have owned this exact same model for the last 13 years. I called ABT and they informed me since I was an out of state customer I needed to contact GE directly using the 1 year warranty. First of all when a company sells online they will get out of state customers and no where on the site or receipt does it state all sales are final for out of state customers. A GE rep did come out and could not explain why it would have caught fire. So now I own a $989 cooktop that I am unable to use one of the two front burners.
ABT has been no help and told me if they take it back they would be out the cost of the cooktop. I suppose they prefer the customer to lose money and keep a defective product. Hope it does not burn my home down one day as I will hold them liable. I will stick to local box stores like Lowes and Home Depot now that would have taken it back no questions asked.
Amanda Ostrowski is a bi*ch. I played an order originally for my daughter and had to go through "verification" with this . She told me I had a girl name, I told her to take it up with my mother!
After being insulted by this bi*ch and being told she would not send out my order because she is on a power trip. I sent a copy of my social and my Abt card. She still canceled my order.
Therefore I purchased most of the goods at another retailer. Yet after almost 3 weeks of them canceling they were still holding almost 2k off my card. A credit card that is trash since I can not use it at the very same store that it's designed for.
I emailed customer service to do a different order with my address instead of my daughter's so there should be no excuse this time.
I placed the order via phone with a nice man named Kevin. After I get off the phone with him I get an email to call in for "verification".
Amanda Ostrowski answers again refuse to let me speak with her bosses. She lied and said she has no supervisor. She won't even try to verify my order, won't tell me what information is incorrect in their system, and hangs up on me. Their system is flawed and she doesn't know what she is doing. What good is my Abt card if I can't use it. Fire this dummy at once.
This is a very strange and offensive, unprofessional verification process, and I have never been through such a horrified shopping experience in my life!

2 weeks ago had a stove delivered. Gentleman did not cover shoes and had handtrucks that wheels were not in good shape. After done I was handed one of there phones with a signature box , ask me to sign that I received, was not shown any document, just a box , about an hour after they left I received an email with a full document stating I accepted delivered and there was no damage to my home. At that time I decided to look at the path they took to my kitchen. There was a big mar in my laminate floor where they turned and two dents in my floor in hallway. I had ask them to come in garage which was a straight shot, they refused. I immediately called abt and told them I was not excepting the delivery as it was done and the crew caused damage. They offered $150 courtesy adjustment They ask me to send pictures. They then sent out two different people to look. Since this floor is no longer available and can not be repaired , I gave them 3 estimates for replacement.
Today I got a call from Jon. He stated that they don't believe they caused damage. They also told me a Rock in tire or shoe could not cause damage. I have been in flooring business for 30 years. To be told that by an appliance person I was offended . I don't care what type floor it is, any floor can be damaged by a small rock. I have seen it many time over the years. I ask them to provide me proof of delivery people being insured and they refused!!!! Told me that I had to turn it into my insurance. Bunch of crap My flooring in my entire home is near perfect and very clean , there was NO damage to my floor before delivery . I will be reporting to better business bureau and continue to be critical of this company. My salesman Agnes is a wonderful person and we came back to abt because if her. But now I have to fight with a he said she said issue If you get a delivery from abt. DO NOT sign anything until you have inspected your flooring, and make them walk with you and not run out the door to avoid !!!
Purchased DJI Phantom 3 Professional Quadcopter (drone). Told it would be delivered in 2-3 days. Ended up taking two weeks because they actually sell products that aren't in inventory. I was told they have a 350,000 sq. ft. Warehouse where they stock products but was lied to over and over product was shipped out but in reality ended up being told that they have to order the items first then ship them out. The product I got was obviously a defective product, with camera issues right out of the box. Contacted them for replacement and got the run around that the person I was talking to would have to talk to his "boss". He called me back a couple hours later asking me if I opened up the box. Well, duh...how would I know it's defective if I didn't open it up unless it was real obvious that UPS drove over the top of it or something. Their response was that if I opened up the box that they couldn't replace it and that I would have to go through the manufacturer. I spent 4 hours on the phone and on live tech support chat with DJI. They told me that I had to go through ABT to get it fixed. FIXED??? It's BRAND NEW!!! Huge run around, with neither of them wanting to take care of it. Problem still not resolved. They got my money and I have a quadcopter that doesn't work. What a waste of $1500. See you in court, you ********!!! Some people might just walk away and not say anything. Not me! I won't be screwed! DO NOT BUY FROM ABT UNLESS YOU WANT TO THROW AWAY YOUR MONEY ON DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS!!!
