Just a heads up to let everyone know that Abella Mayfair is a scam! They are offering a free "trial" to there facial cream and wrinkle cream. It is far from free though. Sometime in the next two weeks is when they use your credit card, in my case they withdrew $138 on Christmas day and then a day later withdrew (stole) another $128. They are a scam business!! How it works is they offer you a free sample cream, all you have to do is pay shipping which is $3.95 US but in the small print three pages later is where they get you. With their subscription you are obligated to pay for products on a monthly basis! I have seen researched this company (which I should of done first) and discovered some unscrupulous business practices on their part.
The Better Business Bureau has 61 complaints registered against them from November 6 2016 to December 28 2016. I have seen contacted the company and they were willing to refund me $50 US but I have a feeling I will need to fight them on a legal front to receive the rest of my money., which I'm willing to do. So everyone beware of this company and any other company offillited with them. If you go to the Better Business Bureau Web site they will give you a list of all other companies associated with Abella Mayfair along with their phone numbers. I for one intend on calling them on a daily basis until I get all my money back! I concern myself a diligen consumer and try to watch out for deals that sound to good to be true, but in this case I definitely dropped the ball and let my guard down.
Offered an online free trial of face creme - just pay for the shipping! I received 1 -1oz. jar, then another arrived, then another two. When my VISA bill arrived I had veen ripped off to,the tune of $435.13! I just went online and there are two mor charges totalling $262.04
I have sent an email to these people - may I please email you what I wrote - I can't copy and paste on this iPad . . .
Clearly they are crooked. BUT the questions is why does Royal Bank Visa support the vendor instead of supporting the consumer? They know that the company is a sham, yet they continue to allow probably thousands of consumers to get screwed. If they had ethics, they could put an end to this on behalf of the consumer , yet they clearly choose not to. They want to get their piece of the action, at the consumers expense. Why allow a company like this the ability to charge recurring charges if they are known to them?
Yes as with others I have 700 dollars of charges on my visa and when they called for information on my card I told them not to put any order through as I was getting a bad feeling. They obviously did not listen and this is clearly fraud!
These ads show up on Facebook under various names. The initial name was Abella Mayfair, but on my bill shows up as ShiningLook.com and Healthy Serum both with 702 numbers. They advertise free samples of their skin cream with shipping being the only cost. There were no visible Terms and Conditions when I placed the order. Now they tell me I had to respond within 14 days of initial receipt and that this was a subscription I had signed up for. They accept no returns and will not provide refunds. This scam cost me $528.34 CDN since it was all US Dollars. I can't believe I fell for this but they HAVE TO BE STOPPED. They use Dragon's Den (which is a Canadian show similar to Shark Tank) which I have watched and did see the product they used as an example. They have nothing to do with Dragon's Den!!! I see their ads on Facebook frequently but under different names. BEWARE and DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!!
The company billing appears as 'Newskinsolution.com 702-547-4733 (Nevada phone number & URL is registered in Panama) & 'Healthyface 702-706-1517. This is a total scam. They falsely adverstis a free trial & send you a small sample size of their product for which you are told will only cost shipping and handling of $4.95 US.
2-3 weeks later they charge your credit card the full amount of the productct ($99.95) without notifiying you. The customer service via phone and email are of no help & give you the same response, that the information is in their terms and services. However, the terms of services were never presented during the purchase of the 'free trial' nor is it in the email confirmation you get or the shipped product. This is basically theft and extremely unethical on Abella Mayfair's part.
I noticed that I had two charges on my Visa. One in November and one in December for the same amounts. Being Christmas and very busy, I wasn't paying as close attention to my statement as I should have been.
What was supposed to be a "free" sample has turned out to cost me over $500.00! I e-mailed the company and advised that I wasn't interested in their product and where did they want me to send it back to and when would I receive my refund.
They advised they don't give refunds and would take me off their mailing list. I wrote a scathing e-mail about what a rip off they were and I was going to tell EVERYONE I know about them.
Today i received an e-mail from "Russel Teneza" who it shows runs the whole thing saying they were unable to find my account and would I please send them the last four digits of my credit card. I replied with "not likely". The message was replied to again by him asking for my information. I replied with "Why are you trying to contact me?" I haven't heard anything back yet.
I am phoning my credit card company immediately to put a stop on any further charges they may try.
Live and learn I guess, but d**n $500.00 out of a single mom's pocket is a major hit!
Me too, I got caught in the same scam but I did not accept their offer at all, on the ground that if I agree to receive partial reimbursement it's kind of giving legitimacy to their fraud.
My 82 year old mother did the same thing that everyone else on here has done. Paid for the shipping and handling and received her items. Then of course she was charged over $500. on her credit card when a couple more items showed up, unexpectedly as she DID NOT PLACE AN ORDER. Visa was of no help and we were told to contact the company directly. we did that. what a laugh. it's a joke really. they will not refund money, or answer emails, or phones... they just keep stringing you along if you even do get a response. even after sending an email to cancel everything, what did we find? another package soon turned up at the door. We wrote return to sender on the box and sent it back to them.
We really don't know where to go from here, how to get the refunds she deserves.
Does anyone have any suggestions? is the better business bureau helping????
Can ANYONE help an 82 year old on a small pension please HELP!! any info would be appreciated!!
On Nov. 1st, after a "Survey" on the web, a PopUp menu offered some Gifts to thank me for filling in the Survey. I accepted to receive a FREE TRIAL OFFER for a "Rapid Wrinkle Cream - 15 ml / 5 oz", simply paying the 3.95$ Shipping & Handling... I received the sample tube of the cream, on Monday, Nov. 7... My Credit card was debited for 3.95$US (5,43$ca). Surprised it was US$... But hey!
THEN, on Nov. 15. there was a charge made on my Credit card for 114.95$US!!! (159,15$ca)
I contacted Abella Mayfair to get a refund (and some explanations). They said that by accepting the TRIAL OFFER, I was indeed SUBSCRIBING to a Monthly subscition, receiving One of the products per month, at 95.95$US!
I argued that I never subsrcibed to such a thing... No way I would purchase any skin cream at 160.$ per month!!!
After a few phone calls... and many emails, they offered to reimburse 40.$, then 50.$... of the 114.95$.
And that I could keep the product! I said that I have not received the second product (as of Dec 3)... And they simply replied that it had been shipped on Nov 15... "At the end of my 14 days trial period"!
Unbelievable SCAM! Beware of ABELLA MAYFAIR!!! And all those "Free Trial Offers". I am unsure yet, if I should accept the 50.$ reimbursement... or FIGHT!
The company is shady. Never trust anyone who offers you simple solutions to humanity's greatest mysteries. People associated with this company should be ashamed of themselves... That is all.
I just reported this company earlier tonight and now I find more charges on another credit card for product I had cancelled but that they had sent anyways. They have charged me again for a product that I do not have but sent back to them with "Return to Sender" on the package.
They "say" in their terms that they will only refund on the same card that was used to purchase the product, so I need to try to get my money back first without cancelling my credit card. I'm not sure how to proceed. Can anyone help?
On October 27, 2016 I ordered 2 products, an eye cream and a face cream. The trial cost of these 2 products was $4.95 and $3.95. At the time I did not read the terms of agreement(a costly lesson for me) which was almost hidden at the very bottom of the page in tiny font and the color, light grey.
My product arrived on November 3, 2016, which I used for 1 day and then, because I discovered online that people had been scammed by this company, I cancelled my subscription with them on November 5, 2016. I sent the product back on the same day, November 5, 2016 which cost me $17 Canada Post.
On November 7th, 12 days after I had ordered the product the full price of the 2 products was charged to my bank account.
Regretably, I had given them my credit card number which was the only way you could pay for the items.
When I read the terms of agreement it said that you would be charged the full price for the product after 14 days if you had not returned the product. And of course I did return the product.
So as you can see I cancelled my subscription on day 10 and they still charged me full price.
I have tried to phone but can never get through. I have left messages which have been ignored and I have sent 26 lengthly e mails to their supposed "customer support" which it isn't and I am out $330.64 Canadian funds with no product to show for it. Their site says it's Canadian but they put USD prices on their products.
I have spent hours and hours e mailing them and they lie, and make excuses, ignore what you say and won't connect you with a manager and I don't even think they read the info in the e mails.
Just last week I received 4 jars of their product which they said they hadn't shipped to me so I promptly returned it and had to cancel my credit card so they wouldn't charge me. So I paid $330.64 for nothing.
There is even more to this case than I have relayed but I am so sick of it all that I wanted to report them.
Do you have any other suggestions for what I can do or even other companies who report fraudulent cases?
I ordered a sample of facial cream, supposedly for 4.95$, on october 12th 2016. I received the sample about a week later.
The cream actually dries our skin... I thought I could just forget about it.
But then I received another sample on november 7th, and consulted my credit card transactions : four paiments have been taken ; two of 103.44 US $ (october 14th and november 1st), and two more of 114.94 US $ (on october 12th and november 1 st)
I called at the following number : 1-250-483-7496, where a certain Sarah informed me that she could cancel my service (cancellation number 3343523803) and reimburse 100 US $... No amount of discussion could change those terms. They were not interested in my returning the merchandise. There was no possible transfer to anyone with more authority...
On 2-September I completed trial offer form on internet for 30 day supply of rapid wrinkle control ( web address https://abellamayfair.com/11/?AFFID=CFD32E06&CID=169&AFID=1016&click_id=102c774828a3cceea0bbe348c7a6a6&SID=1653&C1=fine&C2=wJJL2H0H438CC310193BRRDC&C3=&C4=111037750).
Before giving my credit card details I saw message "Just pay a small shipping fee. Enjoy your expedited delivery to OTTAWA, ON ." The cost was $3.95. I completed credit card information and clicked on "complete check out". Product was received a few weeks later.
On 26-Sep I noticed two charges on my credit card,
2-Sep $5.30 SkinHealth18885893845 CAMBRIDGE 000 and
17Sep $153.35 SkinHealth18885893845 CAMBRIDGE 000
Subsequently I called 1-888-859-9345 (agent Aveon) and later 1-250-483-7496 (Agent Byron) to have second charge cancelled as I only approved the shipping of a free trial.
Both agents said the terms and conditions on their website apply - the 2nd charge was for the product shipped and no refunds will be made after 14 days. Both offered a partial refund ($40US then $50US).
I said I wanted the full refund as there was no mention of terms at any point before I provided the credit card information for the shipping charges. I was told I should have looked for terms which is on the bottom of the webpage past where I completed the credit card information.
The terms and conditions at (http://abellamayfair.com/terms/)take two pages. I told the agent that we would not have ordered the risk free trail offer if we had seen the terms for a monthly subscription costing $155 CDN a month, no matter how good they claimed their product to be.
I accepted the $50US as a payment against what they owed me for having such a dishonest and deceptive website order process and told them I would complain to the Better Business Bureau and make a complaint to internet complaint websites.

On October 20 2016 ,I ordered a sample of skin cream from Abella Mayfair and paid the shipping charges of about $11. Can.
On October 23 2016, I received numerous billings 5 to be exact for over $500. Canadian funds for something that I never received.
I attempted to stop payment with the bank but to no avail as I was told to call the seller and cancel, which I did.
Abella Mayfair refused to refund my money even though I did not receive their products only their 1 1/2 oz bottle.
There was no warning anywhere visible explaining their scam only in small letters saying terms at the bottom of their website.
I was only 1 day past their return product time that I never recieved so to me this constitutes fraud.
I do not intend to lose this money as I have been there before when I was in business.
I ordered a sample of facial cream, supposedly for 4.95$, on october 12th 2016. I received the sample about a week later.
