Andy Koupas who was working with Abaxis in late 2016 approached me to lease Abaxis hematology analyser HM5 and VS2 saying that there is no charge for leasing the equipment as long as I am running 48 diagnostic tests per month and buy a reagent pack(which I found it later that it was at a higher price than what I normally pay through the distributor) through auto-shipping once every other month. He also said that he would take away the equipment at no charge to me if I was not satisfied at any time. He made me believe that it was not a binding contract to keep buying those rotors and the reagent pack at a higher price for 6 years and i could cancel it anytime. I am a business owner and I trusted him because the MWI sales representative Rebecca from whom we were buying a lot of hospital inventory at that time was also there (when he made that statement of picking up the equipment any time after installation). Now I am stuck with this Abaxis equipment which does not run many tests which IDEXX does it and better too! I want to warn other veterinarians and Medical professionals from his deceptive sales pitches. P.S. He took our fully operational hematology analyser telling us that 'abaxis' is providing us a better HM5 and I learnt later that he sold it on ebay for a few hundred dollars!! what a low life crook!
