In April I loaned Alan $535 to help cover his expenses in return for his PR services. In October he posted on facebook that he had a new job. During that span, he NEVER once posted an article, made a phone call, or did ANYTHING related to public relations on my part. I sent a message via facebook messenger offering to set up a payment plan, and the said that was feasible once the money started coming in (I suspect he is taking money from one person, and giving it to others to pay off old debts/agreements).
After him being silent and posting for other "clients" of his, I called him out on it, and 3 or 4 times he said he would do the same for me, but it never happened.
I then sent a venmo request, and he denied it.
My wife and I did our due dilligence afterward and saw multiple reports on him being a scam artist. So, hopefully with me providing his current phone and email, some people who he owes money, can directly go after him and harass him till he pays up. I'm not through with this guy yet.
Payed $199 for full PR service as a model/ actress. Alan Baltes took my money via paypal and never delivered. He kept telling me for 1 year "I will get to it now." "Sorry, I will do it this week." etc. After a full year, I demanded my PR services or a refund. He said he "no longer wrote articles" (and never told me he stopped??) so I said I wanted a refund.
He took my address and said he would have my check in the mail that day. It never came. I asked again, and he said he was BROKE and that he'd get it to me "ASAP".
It has been 9 months and I have now reported him to the BBB. He has the audacity to LIE TO THE BBB and say "he never received a refund request". I have ALL of our emails back and forth + pay pal receipt of what I payed. I just saw on another report that he is using a different name. BEWARE OF THIS P.O.S.
My wife is an actress and purchased Alan's online publicist service for $199. Long story short, he stopped replying to her emails and never performed the service for her. When she requested a refund, he agreed to pay it as soon as possible. Over a month and several emails later, I had to step in and request the refund from him myself. He promised to get the refund to me in full by a certain date and never did. He then wanted to change to a payment plan of $20 a week, and this worked for a few weeks (he was late with payment and had to be reminded twice), but then after $60 of reimbursement the payments totally stopped. I've been contacting this guy requesting our money, I've had to threaten legal action and bad reviews (hence this), and he has still not gotten the refund to us after MONTHS! Seriously, if you consider yourself to be a business, you should be able to process a single return, right?! And you should not spend the money you receive before you perform the service you're paid to do... If you're an actor or are looking into his services, look elsewhere to save yourself the headache! And don't heed the rebuttal he is bound to leave just like after his last complaint. He is good with words, but apparently very bad with actions.
